Just had a good conversation with Game.

They have my preorder for the machine by itself.

I noticed that Monkey Ball is bundled in at £219.99 (£23 for the game) BUT if you order another game (RR for me) you can get that for £25 at the same time.

So I cancelled all my game orders and got SMB and RR for £48 with my existing pre-order. Worth it.

Feeling royally ripped off with my pre order at Gamestation instore. They still have it up at £220. I am tied to that order as I traded my DSXL and games onto a card there. With the £33 difference they basically got a load of games from me

But your DSXL isn't worth as much now as it was when you traded it so it's swings and roundabouts no?

I think they gave me £110 value for the XL. I am hoping to try wrangle a price match if Argos, Granger or Blockbusters undercut them

I wouldn't put too much hope in them undercutting anyone...

I just rang my local Granger Games and they are doing the machine for £209. Gamestation is just down the road and they price match so save a tenner. Heads up for anyone else in same boat with Gamestations rip off £220 instore price

I also rang Gamestation to see if they are doing cheap game bundles. The guy said £25 for a game when bought with machine. With HMV doing Monkey Ball or Rayman for £10 with the machine they really are taking the piss

I take it they only price match other game stores? I only have Blockbuster and Gamestation where I live and their prices are as bad as each others.

As far as I know they will match any price in a 2 mile radius except for supermarkets. I saw Toys R Us are doing it for £197 so if that ends up the instore TRU price I will try get them to match that instead

you might get it for a decent price yet!

                        HMV's trade in deal:

-?110 for DSi XL Trade in (To be traded in when you buy 3DS)
Free ?20 hmv gift card with 3DS Purchase

Rayman 3D/monkeyball/Asphalt for ?10 when you buy 3DS
                        or
                        Streetfighter/Nintendogs/Pilotwings for ?20 when you buy 3DS

certainly seems to be the most favourable instore deal at the moment if you're trading in.

Toys R Us in-store price is indeed ?196.99. I preordered there a few weeks back.

Cheers for the info, some haggling with the GS manager on Thursday night is now in order!

Just rang Gamestation and they confirmed they match any price including Toys R Us, except supermarkets. Happy days, means I can afford an extra game with that saving
