    PlanetAxel / $0:99 Shipping / USA

I thought it was worth mentioning this just incase people are looking to import USA stuff at the moment and this may save you a bit.

PlanetAxel! (Previously AxelMusic) currently having shipping fees of $0:01.

I've used the shop many times and they are at the moment my preferred shop for importing blu-rays from the USA. They ship everything from their warehouse in the European Union so there's no issues when it comes to import fees & taxes.

I usually pre-order my Criterion blu-rays from them and often get them two or three weeks before they're released.

I can personally recommend their customer services as a blu-ray box set I ordered from them got slightly damaged while being transported and they were absolutely brilliant and sorted everything out with no issues.

I find them cheap and efficient with their standard shipping fees but due to this have pre-ordered stuff that's not released until the end of June.

It may not benefit you but have a look as you'll hopefully be able to save a bit if you're just about to import something from the USA or Canada.

It's probably worth mentioning that they also offer a really good rewards programme where you get points each time you spend with them which can then be exchanged for an item you want and it;s not just clearance items.

I've just pre-ordered the Criterion Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas blu-ray which isn't out until June but of course, you need to be spending quite a bit to get the more expensive stuff free. I do, so it works out well for me.

Thanks for the heads-up. Am debating with myself whether to pick up Yi Yi on Bluray since it seems impossible to buy over here on DVD even.

It's well worth picking up, it's an amazing film and it looked stunning on blu-ray.

You'll probably be able to get one of the few DVD releases over here but it's not exactly easy to find and it may well be cheaper just buying the blu-ray. As is pretty standard for the Criterion releases, this has some top quality extras included rather than the usual pap you get with films.

I don't know if PlanetAxel will be the cheapest place to buy it but I've always found their prices to be competitive and you're unlikely to get better shipping charges. If they have them in stock they seem to get to me in a week you know there won't be any additional charges for importing.

It's the 15th tomorrow so Criterion will be announcing their July releases so I'll more than likely be back on PlanetAxel due to the reduced shipping.

Thanks for that mate, do want to see the film, will probably plump for it.

Can't wait for Sucker Punch on Criterion Bluray.

Well, you never know as they've released The Rock and Armageddon in the past and Something Wild is being released next month.

Sometimes big and loud does something different and the they seem more than happy to publish films if they appear to have had an effect on general film production.

I've not seen or will likely ever see Sucker Punch but The Rock is a fantastic film and although there are parts just don't hold together the film works wonderfully despite, or maybe because of the problems it has.

My copies of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas was dispatched this morning although it's not released until 26th April, should be here Friday next week if not before.

This is back on now only it's $0:99 shipping which works out at around 65p, the banner states that the reduced delivery charges stand for the whole summer.

These are still my favourite shop for importing films, I ordered Solaris on blu-ray yesterday and they dispatched it the same day which was nice as it isn't due to be released until May the 24th. I'll more than likely get it at the start of the week.

Eureka/Masters of Cinema have got a sale on their blu-rays and DVDs. Certainly worth checking out:

Nice! So I can preorder 'Naked' and 'La Belle et Le Beast' and the shipping charges will apply?
