SSDs are currently dropping in price regularly so I'm holding out until they begin to flatten.

120GB for ?106 is a pretty decent rate. My 32GB Corsair X32 cost me ?110 when I got it..

They'll have to flatten a lot more than that considering i got a 1TB usb external drive for that kind of cash. Sure it's not solid state but for the price i don't care lol. Scary nowdays how much space you can get for not much cash.

Not so much anymore, but yeah. 2TB are down to ?80ish now. Still holding out until my current 2TB is bursting before I give in and pay ?25 more than I did last year.

Ssds are more useful on windows systems. Improvements are less on unix and osx. Good to see prices dropping!

Looks like Amazon have raised the price/run out of stock sadly, although you can still order for 2-4 week dispatch @ ?93ish.

Wow, I never realised you could make symlinks in windows (mklink). So you could have an SSD for the OS and installed apps and then have all your docs/pics/videos on an HDD but still appearing as if they were in the normal folders (c:/user/charles/documents etc). Suddenly that makes this rather more appealing.

Any ideas which is the best of these three?

How easy is it to swap over to this drive and do as Charles mentions in the post above from my current 500gb standard HDD?

You'd have to reinstall windows (presuming that's what you are using) and all your apps and stuff on the SSD..... Then find some way removing everything apart from docs/pics/vids on your HDD (might be easier to copy them to another HDD). Then just google for "symlink windows" for easy instructions to set a link on the SSD pointing at the HDD so that windows believes the HDD contents are on the main drive.
