Music Unlimited - PS Plus Deal

PS Plus subscribers get this for only ?11.99 for 12 months premium service. I've used Music Unlimited previously and it's pretty good but I just couldn't justify the monthly fee of ?10.00. However, you can't go for wrong at this price. All you need do is log into your Sony Entertainment Account to get the deal.

Is this an alternative to Spotify? If so how does it compare? Can you use offline playlists?

Not quite as many tracks (18 million +). Yes you can have offline tracks, up to 10000 I think. I like it. Works on my PS3, Vita, PC, Mac and Xperia. A bargain.

Sounds like it's worth a punt at ?12. Do I sign up from my PS3 directly, or can I do it from a PC?

You can buy it from your ps3 dash. Just did it. Then click it in music and it will download and activate. It works on my ps3 and Iphone but you can only stream from one device at a time

Nice! Just installed the iphone app, guess I have a extra reason to buy plus now! I assume this would stop working if my plus runs out?

I doubt it. When you pay your 1 year Music Unlimited sub then that's it, paid up. My PS+ will run out before so I hope not anyway. Mind you, I can see me permanently paying for PS+ now. It's too good not to.

Just to let people know, this deal is meant to run till the 31st of Dec.

As for above, maybe it's actually been a success and people as joining up in their droves. Think I will subscribe, but not just yet, nearer Christmas I think.

Does anyone know if this service works on a Nokia smart phone? I recently received a Lumia 800 for free, and was wondering if this is compatible with it.

Oh well, I checked the web site and it said that Music Unlimited is not available on Windows phones. Guess I might still get this anyway.

All working great now. I love it. Me and the lad were listening to stuff last night thru the PS3, anything he played that I liked I just added to my library. Got into work this morning and there they all are. Sweet.

Does this have any sort of offline thing? I reckon I'd only use it on the go.
