I concur. One such "fix" turns the game from the worst looking version to the best. Another such "fix" I enjoy helps keep out pesky invaders. I say keeps them out, it doesn't technically keep them out, it just prevents them from wanting to return tee hee.

Do not be tempted to try the framerate cap unlock mod. I did, my character fell through the floor, landed on Andre the blacksmith and killed him. Luckily I was only a couple of hours in so I just started again.
