                  Weekly Special at Play-Asia:

                  Square-Enix's Drag-On Dragoon 2: Love Red, Ambivalence Black (aka. Drakengard 2) for PlayStation2? at US$ 14.90.

It has been 18 years since the epic battle of the dragon seal to prevent the end of the world...

In order to have the dragon seal last forever, the Seal Riders was formed. One of the members was raised by dragons, understands their language and knows how to ride flying dragons. His destiny begins with the meeting of a saint lady. It turns out that this lady named Manah, was responsible for the end-of-the-world crisis 18 years ago...

The game operates from 3 battle modes: The "High Air Battle", "Mid Air Battle" and the "Surface Battle". In all battle modes, the approaching enemies need to be eliminated, either by the dragon's firepowers or by the weapon of the fighter. Compared to the first game in this series, new features include changeable characters during ground battles; new mega attacks while airborne, new weapons and more.

The game is also known as "Drakengard 2" outside of Japan.

If it's anything like the first game, that's far too expensive!

Hehe, it's not very good? I must admit I haven't tried the original...

Awful game in my opinion. I had a free copy to review, and I still felt ripped off.

Really didn't want to bother playing through it, but I don't like writing a review until I'm done with a game incase they're just slow to start.

I think it just ended up as more of a rant than a review though...

So the Treasure-created in-air sections aren't enough to redeem it, then? Oh well. I rather like Treasure normally. But then I hate Squeenix with a vengeance, so I can't say I'm massively shocked.

I popped into Woolworths at lunch today, they said the offer was only on the 512MB stick

Really, they were Treasure created? (I'm talking about the first game still...)

I thought they were awful, although not as bad as the on-foot sections.
