VG+ are doing US 60gb PS3 + Motorstorm for ?328, not sure if it includes DHL delivery or not, cheap (compared to UK RRP) either way really.

Do PS3s get through customs without charges though, I'd imagine it would exceed the UK rrp if it didn't.

HMV probably have the best deal going for PS3 (over here at least).

RRP with a free copy of either Motorstorm or Resistance, but if you open a store card the day you buy it, you can knock off 10% and have up 120 days interest free.

You may get lucky with the PS3 and they won't pick it up in customs but if they do you're not really getting anything that you won't get here for about the same price.

That's incorrect, actually. HMV will only honour the 10% discount on first-time store card purchases if the goods are worth £250 or less. They've also suspended card applications for a week or two. I've turned away many people trying to buy PS3s like this, or with student discount.

I only assumed that the card thing worked as I was asked in my local store the other day if I wanted to apply for one and ?250 is only the limit on the card, I'm assuming it works like any other and you can add money ontop if what you're buying goes over.

That said tho, the guys working at my local aren't exactly on the ball - I had a copy of GoW2 in my GoW1 platinum box when I bought it, that'll teach you to unseal games

If you're looking to get a six-axis controller you can get the console + six axis and a game for £460.

if you have a reward card you'll get £10 back instantly (Well it may take a couple days to go through) in Game points.

GAME also seem to be doing the console at RRP with a free game in store, so if what redzoo is saying is (supposed to be) accurate, then they're a much better deal than HMV, that way you don't run the risk of getting an unsealed copy of something like Motorstorm covered in finger marks and scratches.

We've got tons of sealed copies of Motorstorm and Resistance. though. I can see your point- even the games staff are exasperated with having to sell unsealed games. We do handle them with the utmost care in my store as we're quite concerned with having to break the seals in the first place. I also believe that we can't give 10% on ?250 and accept the rest later as it would be impossible with our till system, given that the base price of the PS3 is ?425 in-store.

(Ending my derail here in case I get slapped on the wrist!)
