Blockbuster Bioshock LE Tin Set ?34.99, just bought one

Yes, it's the Bioshock tin and a faceplate for £34.99 - however as of 10.30am my local branch only had 1 copy of the game + faceplate left, and the woman behind the counter said the crowds had unbelievable for it (I don't think Blockbusters expected it to sell as much as it had). That said we had a fair bit of promotion for it up here, including an advert in the Metro newspaper.
Interestingly, she said the new Blockbuster policy on major new releases is to "better the best street price, including supermarkets" and showed me a list including Halo 3, Assassins Creed and Call of Duty 4 among others, which she alleged would be going out at very competitive prices. Worth a look if you want to trade as well, as Blockbuster trade prices are probably the best on the high street.
EDIT: The faceplate is actually not too bad. Quite understated. But I'd have preferred a Big Daddy on it somewhere.Comment

BlockBuster Elite 360 ?299 includes Halo3 & 10% off any other 360 game. You'll also get ?160 off for a premium trade in. Not too sure what they'll do about save transfers though.Comment

Don't use the majors often but was in Game today and saw that they had a 2 for 1 offer on quite a few DS & PSP games.
I picked up Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth & Chocobo Tales for the princely sum of only ?19:99 new!!!
They had quite a few others there too but I grabbed these 2 as soon as I saw them...Comment

I got an email from HMV today saying that if you pre-order two 360 games you will receive 1000 MS points free.l.
It does state that you have to "preorder and purchase" but it might be worth seeing if you get the code and can subsequently cancel your order.
Alternatively, if you actually want to get two games from HMV, then all the better.Comment

You can't preorder and cancel in the hope of getting a code, as far as I'm aware. HMV are selling the elite and 2 games for ?299.99
1 is Blue Dragon and the other is a choice from 6 which are all pretty decent
they may still offer 10% off if you take out a HMV card at the same time as well, i did it before with steel Battalion, paid the card in full when the bill arrived
i'm going to check Virgin Megastores tomorrow and if they offer the same kinda deal i will be buying one from themComment
