Wii Boom Street (with Mario) ?4.99 at Argos

Never heard of this game before but may be of interest to some for a fiver. Is ?28 at Amazon.

    Sounds like Monopoly with Mario

Get on board, corner the market and make a fortune! Players become familiar characters from the Nintendo and Dragon Quest universes in a board game that challenges them to play the real estate and stock markets wisely to win. Players race around the board trying to accumulate wealth and hit a target value while buying, selling and trading property with friends and family to see who can be the first to cash out. What appears at first to be a simple property-buying board game offers multiple levels of money-maximizing opportunity.

Players move around one of more than 15 boards, buying shops to build their portfolios and collecting symbols they can cash in at the bank to earn more gold to invest. It takes money to make money, so racing around the board may not be the best strategy. To capitalize on their monetary gains, players can make investments, play the stock market, purchase shops and collect shopping fees. When players buy multiple shops adjacent to one another, the property value

This is an absolutely superb game and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys board games. I've played it many times and still play regularly with a group of friends. One of the Wii's most underrated titles.

I'd really like a copy of this, however Argos' site refused to tell me whether or not I've had a successful reservation. Grr.

Can't believe Argos have a lot of stock - they had Xenoblade Chronicles with classic controller for 14.99 earlier but I suspect there are going to be a lot of unhappy buyers

Xenoblade was and is true though, loads of buyers showing the copies they bagged- as usual people bought more than one each though- eBay is full of them already.

Think all the stock is gone now, they won't let you reserve it anymore.

As usual, HUKD strikes again and the resellers corner the market.

Yep any bargain doesn't last long in the day of the internet and deal sites.

As the saying goes, snooze ya lose!

Worth grabbing the free HUKD phone app and then you can set up alerts for keywords on new deals eg PS4 etc.

                  Neil

EDIT - Although it looks like I'm having the same reservation problems as Fuse so we'll see

Argos also seem to have lots of copies of Skyward Sword for ?14.99 (standard edition no CD etc).

I managed to grab a copy of Boom Street from my local.

Don't know why I bought it as I don't have a Wii Remote to play it with.

If anybody wants it for cost plus postage (so ?6.50) reply here and first response gets it.

                      Cheers.
