I know its not ideal but you can download an XBMC installation ISO now which will work on a fresh xbox and install XBMC on it, but then you'd have to use that as the actual dashboard also I guess. I've done that on mine anyway and don't use erm, the other one, its been so long I can't remember what it is, only xbmc is installed on the xbox as of now.
