also after discovering my adaptor doesent work, looking for a megadrive game adaptor, to play JPN games on a UK modded md, i dont really want to hack the cart slot to be able to play the jpn games.

Aren't HDD upgrades difficult to do on Softmodded machines??

I seem to remember not changing the HDD in my 2 softmods because it was going to cock up the mod.
Think a Chipped machine was much easier.

It's easy to swap the HDD. Just need to dump the original eeprom so you can lock the drive after.

Just so you know this won't magically make your N64 able to output RGB.

its already RGB, just a dark image.

I just use a pal Gamecube lead for my NTSC machine and the image is fine.

There are so many ways to mod an N64 for RGB that it may not be the same.

A dark image means a half assed mod.

Fine for standard use but wont play games that are region locked like a game genie or somesuch.
