It is much easier (and costs significantly less) to pick up a Wii and component cable unless you really want that cable as part of a collection.
You know that they go for ?150+?

Yeah, I know they aren't cheap and I know that the Wii is an option, but I'm still trying to get one for the best possible price.

the gamecube component output is fantastic - i had an official cable and the 480p output was fantastic. Maybe try a few 3rd party leads first? Thought you used dolphin mate?

No such thing as an unofficial Cube component cable. Proprietary DAC and all that.

Yeah, I still use Dolphin quite a bit these days! I want the Gamecube in my setup so I can get a few sessions of Pacman Vs. and Zelda Four Swords on the go.
