Boxed; box is slightly tatty and the blue eyepiece thing has been glued back on after breaking off previously. It works to the best of my knowledge (tested years ago but since got rid of my NES), although that is a somewhat relative term: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kBMscW_dVg - it does make a great DBZ scouter for cosplay though.
