FS: DB9 TO USB Retro Adapter - Now Supports 3 Button MD pads!

UPDATE 18/4/2012 - NOW SUPPORTS 3 BUTTON MEGADRIVE / GENESIS PADS!

Available here is a DB9 To USB adapter. This adapter will convert the normal DB9 plug of your favourite joystick or joypad (see supported list below) to a generic USB standard for use in any PC based emulator.

This device will work on all operating systems that support HID interfaces and has been tested on Windows 7 & XP, however it will work on later versions of Linux and OSX as well as Windows Vista.

Supported devices include joysticks and joypads with up to three separate fire buttons, made for the following systems...

    Commodore 64
    Amstrad CPC
Atari 2600 & all other 8 Bit Atari computers / consoles with DB9 connections
    Sega Master System
Sega Megadrive (Currently supports 3 Button Joypads - 6 Button support will be added at a later date)

And all other 8 Bit machines with DB9 connections

The following joysticks have been tested so far...

    Zipstick
    Competition Pro
    Quickshot 2 Turbo
    Atari 2600 Joystick
    Sega Master System Pad
    Sega Mater System Official Joystick
Sega Megadrive Official 3 Button Pad

And should work with most DB9 Joysticks.

(I will be adding to the supported joystick list just as soon as I have acquired the relevant stick / pad)

Wow, I would have killed many to get my hands on something like this 10 years ago.

Can you confirm whether it works on the Xbox 1 via something like the modded USB adapter?

Cant right now as I do not have an Xbox to test it out with, but rest assured its on my list of things to get soon so I will be in a better place to answer that question then.

How long for the MD adapter, and will it support the 6B controller?
        Kept you waiting, huh?

Joe - 3 Button MD pads are supported as of now, will need to get hold of a 6 button pad to see if I can map the extra buttons (cant see why not though).

I'll definately be interested in one when the MegaDrive 6-button version is available!

Just replied to a PM from J0e above and will say the same thing here... there will be a 6 button version, just need time to tinker, something I don't have a lot of right now

              Stay tuned though....
