    Sega Saturn Model 2 50/60Hz + Modchip

Selling my Model 2 PAL Sega Saturn which I've added a 50/60Hz switch to the back of and installed one of Robert Webb's fantastic modchips that allows you to play backup discs. Comes with a model 2 (i.e not the rubbish one :P) controller and the standard RF box.

Wanting ?60 (Now ?50) without postage. Open to sensible offers too. I expect postage/courier to be around ?10 extra.

    Cheers!

EDIT: Now includes games mentioned below.

Sorry for the late response. Not the best pictures but they give a good idea. If I can help any more just ask

This is taking up space and I need it gone so I’ll also chuck in NiGHTS (Jewel case UK version) since I have a spare. Absolute bargain!!

Apologies for the n00bish question (a 50/60Hz switch is fitted), but is this Saturn region-free?

It's fine! The machine isn't region free; you still need an Action Replay to play Japanese or American Saturn discs...

However because it has no security protection with the mod chip installed you can rip an import game to your PC, modify the region with an app and reburn to a CD-R. That's what I've been doing to play Radiant Silvergun and a bunch of other Japanese games and it works flawlessly.

Alternatively if you do want the machine to default to another region (that is, so you'd be able to play Japanese originals but would then need to modify european games and reburn) you can solder different points on the motherboard. I didn't do this however as my collection is mainly PAL games. If you plan on using the machine primarily for one region of games I don't mind modifying the machine to NTSC-U or NTSC-J.
