The game itself is North American (ntsc u) so obviously you will need a PS2 system capable of playing imports. The drum controller is ntsc j but it's compatible with all versions of the title.
I would describe everything as being in "gamers condition" i.e. in full working order but clearly preowned; the issues I would point out are as follows:
- there are light scratches on the disc (although works perfectly)
- manual has a few light scuffs and case has two small shop stickers on the back (easily removed if you know what you're doing)
- drum box has a slight crease on the sides but is in otherwise decent shape.
- drums are slightly discoloured but still work perfectly
