Here's a few pictures of the XRGB-mini Framemeister in action.

The Framemeister is very easy to set up. The default settings out of the box should suit most people.

    EDIT
Here's a Retro Core special that I made on the framemeister.

Wow, the clarity in the first picture is the first time I've had reason to be impressed by this thing (I've seen other screenshots, but they don't really capture the full clarity of the screen).

What system/video out cables were used for that picture?

That's because people take poor photos . Honestly, the Framemeister is an amazing bit of kit. I've been using one for a year now and have never looked back.

Anyway, in answer to your question I was using a stock Japanese Mega Drive one via RGB in to the Framemeister with that going to the TV via HDMI. Click on the pictures to see the real size. The images will look even better!

@invisiblekid, Thanks for the PM mate. I've replied to it.

OP, are you based in the UK? What does that work out to in pound sterling, please?

I'm in Japan. The price in pounds would be about 215 with airmail or 227 with EMS

Alright, thanks. I may be interested in ordering one in a few weeks. Currently in the process of a mod job on my Gamecube. Want to play Gameboy Advance games via GB Player in 240p, so I'll need one of these babies.

Does it come with a three pin plug for UK use? I hate using stepdown converters.

Hi Yakumo. I might go for one of these. Like the man said does it come with UK plug/transformer? Also will this do for connecting my RGB scart consoles http://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/m...-stripper.html

Yukamo, do you know what these are like when using a supergun?

And also, this may seem a bit of a silly question but does it have an option to rotate images (for vertical games)?

Sorry for the late reply guys.

@Niftyifty - I'm afraid I don't ship the Framemeister with a UK plug. It's weight would just add more cost to the overall item. It's best if you pick that up in the UK. The cable that you linked too in retrogamingcables is the one you will need if you are using UK RGB cables. That's the one I recommend to all my UK buyers

@ridgeracer - The Framemeister works great with a supergun. No problem at all. As for screen rotation options, I'm afraid not. There's loads of zooming options for spreading the image over a load of screens but nothing to rotate the image. Quite a silly move that is. Maybe it could be added to a future firmawre update?

                      Thanks for the response

Yeah, would be cool if the image was able to move 90' as doing the same with my 50' Plasma is not easy!

I read somewhere that some PCB's (due to the refresh rate?) like Raiden Fighters dont like this upscaler? but most seem to be fine. I only ask as I currently use a SOny 20L4 PVM with my old consoles and supergun set up but I am looking to really downsize my set up/collection over the next year so all my monitors and arcade machines will be going and this seems like a great idea for playing my older consoles etc on my main tv as I dont use them often and would make it easy to get a small LCD in the futire if I wanted to.

I am still having a think about the purchase but from reading around the net, the XRGB Mini seems far out the best for 240p stuff which is mainly what I would use it for.

                      Thanks

You might want to check out Superdeadite's YouTube channel for XRGB information. He seems to like this DISPL unit for arcade boards.

Briliiant. Thanks for the info Yakumo about the UK power situation. Like you say it is easy enough to source a power pack here. I take it you can mark it down as "repaired / refurbished electronic items" or something to avoid attraction to her majestys customs lol 😉

About the customs charge. For some reason, every parcel sent to the UK needs a customs invoice for filled out by me here in Japan. I've also noticed that when a customs for is present there's no tax charge unless you are really unlucky. I send Framemister units to the UK as video converters with a value of 4000 yes which is about ?20 I guess so there's no threat of custom charges
