I'd watch a fourth but, honestly, I felt there wasn't much happening after the first film. I went with the 2nd film and did enjoy it but it didn't seem to have a story to tell (the film ended with him in pretty much the exact same way as the first, if I remember correctly... which I might not). The 3rd ventured off into ridiculousness.
Continuing the third films introduction of the trend of each film having a needless and naff subtitle, the final title of the next film has been set as:
Haha oh Jesus, 2 hours 15? Wonder how much of the lore they’ll unnecessarily explain this time. I hope we meet the guy that manufactures those gold coins.
I’ll be watching this as my partner loves them but they’ve been on a steady slide for me. I really want to watch the first one again though actually. That is such a brilliantly executed film and it was one of those lovely bolts from the blue that feel increasingly rare in genre cinema. An original story and character, no pretension, no reliance on nostalgia, fully modern and delivered quite perfectly formed.
