I haven't been following the Xbox scene or this game for a long time. Wasn't this the game that was hyped as being the greatest RPG ever or something to that degree?

And one more thing: to anyone anticipating getting some enjoyment from this title, don't, whatever you do, go to the message board on Gamefaqs. The stench of sheer stupidity wafts from that place before you've event loaded the first of the 170 or so pages of threads that just repeat the same dumb questions over and over and over and there is so much unjustified bile and vitriol shouted its truely depressing.

Gamefaqs, along with IGN, is the spawning ground of burgening young neo-nerds fast on their way to securing their own virginity for the rest of their pointless, inane lives.

wahey it finally came, delivered by a menacing postman with a claw for a hand!

anyway, it seems great so far, although so similar to black and white (the voices, the graphics, the music) that its bizzare.

I do think its a bit of a cop having the child grow up just by going through the training, I was always undder the impression you would gradually grow up.

Ditto Mr Prine. I was playing it all weekend (literally. Was still fairly unwell so didnt leave the house. not even for gym! *shock horror*)

I'm enjoying every single moment. Havent got the time to write any detailed impressions sadly, but all i need to say is that im loving it all. The graphics, the music (oh my goodness the music...) the artistry, the Morality, customizing, the experience points, the combat (once this is mastered? wow. Very fun and surprisingly rewarding) and the utterly extraordinary sense that the environments are full of life ? be that organic or artificial. I love it ^_^

Oh, and could someone please help me out a tad? I'm currently trying to get the Black Rose gift so i can woo Lady Grey

Hi

Adam: The black rose is in the very first shop in north bowerstone, just up the path from Lady Grey. The shop is in the middle of the fork in the path.

Oh and if you get stuck later which i did *spoiler me doo*

Go to Oakvale cemetry (in the actual town) and walk all the way round and sneak behind the wall, where you can hear from 2 dastardly traders where the necklace is hidden (you will see them on your left upon your entry into the cemetry\memorial, so you need to sneak up behind the wall they are standing infront of. Hope that made sense .

AND if your still stuck

if for some reason you are interupted and dont hear what they said...because the stupid Guildmaster interupts :@ you will need a spade and walk over to the beach and dig inbetween the two boats.

Im really enjoying the game...but i dont trust that Lady Grey for some reason :| High maintanace

Go to the gray house area out in the woods and you'll be able to dig up some dirt on her so to speak

Similarly impressed; like a couple of other peeps it very much reminds me of KOTOR and PSO.

I didn't really get KOTOR, but this game is superb, really enjoy the sense of Fantasy it creates for the player, have only done a couple of missions, and have been mostly good so far, (apart from kicking a few people up the arse when I was a child )
Finding it quite enjoyable to be rewarded by praise for being good,
I am looking forward to replaying as a Bad man.

So I got this game and I was looking for inteligent discussion about it and ended up here. I'm really impressed with it. I just discovered the other forrest by the hobbes cave and things started happening and the game opened up more.

I don't understand the people who race through a game like this. If you take your time and try to discover things it really is so much more than what the gamefaqers, xbox.com and big blue box forum folks are saying about. Some people are never happy I guess.

I debate weather I should go full on evil or keep my fringe, mostly bad, character the way he is.

Just got this. I'm about 2.5 hours in and loving it - I think I might be rushing though - I'm worried that I might age too quickly if I hang around and stuff. Anyone know what happens if you get old and don't bother too much with the story?

I'm on the mission where you escort some traders through a creepy forest. Killed me a couple of Balverines who were quite hard, other than that I ain't had many problems so far.

Did about 4 hrs on it today and i'm enjoying it more than i expected to. The combat can be a bit fiddly at times and the framerate is lacking, but apart from that i've no real issues.
