I have 2 PAL Xbox's, one modded and one unmodded. Fable works on BOTH

Are there any hints that the Pal versions will include small updates, like bug fixes and some content added here and there?
(from some of your comments I derive that there are a few small faults with the US version)

Hello. I actually live in America, and I have to say, I haven't noticed anything that seems to very faulty about this game. It has stupendous gameplay and it will keep you on edge throughout. It's one of those games you just don't want to put down, because there's always something new to be done.

Personally, for this round, I chose to go the side of the Good Hero.

Currently, I'm walking around with little blue/green orbs spiraling around me, ethereal butterflies floating just above them, and a light halo that appears over my head when I stop moving. I just finished the Arena, and kicked the crap out of all of the enemies. I spared Whisper, of course, like the Good Hero that I am

Anyways, all in all, I give this game a 10/10.

I'll keep this a little vague to avoid spoilers -

When you talk to the Archaeologist he says he'll give you his journal during the cutscene. I can't find the book in my inventory or in the room where he was staying, although I can't open the silver chest. Help?

Just wondering, can you mess around at the beginning (after becoming properly adult) quite a bit without ageing? I'd like to be able to explore thoroughly and generally mess around but I'm unsure whether this will limit the time I have to complete the game in the end?

I'm worried that I might age too quickly if I hang around and stuff. Anyone know what happens if you get old and don't bother too much with the story?
No worries buddy. There is a temple of light in the Witchwood area where it is possible to make donations. If you donate generously a couple of times (anything over 30k i think) you can increase your 'goodness' and also lose years of your life. My guy was 47 but after a couple of donations he was down to 40.

Also... you stop aging when you get to 60 i think. So... in regards to age, there really is no restrictions.

I've been playing for over 20hours now.... and have to say this is one of my fav games this year. The further i've got the more i love it. The Grave area was particularly fun (the music in this areas has made me NEED a music album) and the story really picks up and creates depth. Oh, and the Arena, though not really life threatening, was excellently done! Was tense, exciting and with a real sense of atmosphere.

I'm currently trying to level up considerably and just generally playing around - doing side quests, doing anything at all. Its just so much fun.

To get into one of the Demon Doors i had to put on lots of weights so my character is currently obese. I'm going to spend a good hour or so now trying to burn it all off! He is scarred hideously too... the poor soul. I've only been drunk once (had to see what happened) and i was pleasantly impressed with the effect. I've also married a male... heh. The sex scene was funny... soon divorced afterwards though. As soon as i get my impressive physic back i shall be after Lady Grey.

A quick question... has anyone been able to pull the sword out of the stone yet near the Temple of Avo (in witchwood)? How does one go about doing that? I'm on 7 or 8 strength but the thing wont shift!

                  Thanks, Adam.

Just found out that you also age whenever you learn a new skill - not sure whether this means that you only age this way or not but it would be good if this is the case.

How do you put on weight? Just by eating loads? I didnt think this affected your size, cool if it does.

I believe so - you can definitely become obese so eating lots would seem to be the key. I tried eating about 10 meat thingies last night but didn't see any change in my char's weight. Meat is also meant to help your muscles too but again I haven't noticed a huge difference but that might just be because I haven't been playing long.

Lots of pies and beer. Your Hero should have a huge gut

You should try giving beer to other characters.

Had a crack at this at the weekend, I just found it very dry, dull and tedious. The loading times were a bit cranky too. Fortunately it wasn't mine to be annoyed at owning, and RPGs aren't really my bag...so no loss all round really!

So you didn't find it funny when you're walking through a town with just a pants on, burping at children and having old ladies come up to you saying "Awww, look at the Chicken Chaser. Haven't you got any chickens to chase?".

And you didn't find Fable amusing either? Hmm...

Well fundamentally, I didn't give a crap, the story from the get go was pretty forced. The combat was quite dull, and the lock on was too subtle for my tastes. Remember I wasn't expecting anything from this game, I hadn't heard of it, turns out it was by Black and White guy a game I thought was equally mudane. I guess LionHead just don't do the trick for me.
