There are pimp cars all over the place, just look for an opentop car and the chances are it's a pimpmobile.

    Base Jumping sounds like fun

Oh, my Dodo got shot down by a harrier yesterday. Doh!

I f'king love this game. Its taken everything I loved about GTA 3 (ie. pretty much everything) added the great parts from Vice City (property acquisitions, bikes etc.) and still added sooooooo much more.

Highlights for me so far include beating a prossie to death with a giant blue dildo and performing drive-bys, and subsequently being chased by the cops, while driving a golf cart

Special mention also has to go to the way they've used the sound to make it more interactive.

Imagine my surprise yesterday when I was biking up the side of a mountain only to over hear on the radio that my neglected hood rat girlfriend was giving me a shout out and missing me. I was so taken aback that I almost crashed

And again, later when I was booting it around on a quad with Catalina I overhear the K-rose DJ mention about a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, robbing places in the county

Similarly there's nothing funnier than having Catalina screaming at you from the back of a bike that your lost cos you're riding around in Los Santos when you should be out in the sticks.

Clever audio cues like that are really immersive and add to the whole memorable gameplay experience for me.

Awesome. It's possible to become a trucker and get paid for it as a job.

Plus the fact that when you change appearance people comment differently to you on the street. And when they're having conversations with each other it's possible to chat and join in by using left or right on the d-pad.

An impressive thing I found on the radio was when it was getting foggy and the DJ on the rock station (K-DST) commented on the weather being a nightmare to drive through on the way to work.

Also the animation/AI of the pedestrians (lovers holding hands, bumping into each other, people running away and getting into fights etc. seems more advanced).

This is like a game in a game in a game.

Who was it who mentioned they'd like to make money legally one day? "Go Clean". This could be your ticket.

However, pimping is far more profitable!

I've just left Los Santos into the country side now. It pains me going from A-B because its so damn big

I love that. I mean it's not to actual scale, but I think they've judged it perfectly. It's also nice spotting something and then going off to have a look...and finding a chainsaw or a bullet proof vest, or a jump or a new vehicle!

One thing I forgot: there's really no excuse for the lack of a restart mission option, especially given the size of the game. I felt like breaking something last night after having to restart one far-away mission at least five times.

That's what's consumed most of my time. Just slowly exploring. I especially enjoy tearing through the countryside on a dirt or quadbike.

Ah, but that's where the train system, subway system and airports are supposed to eventually come into use. Although I've not used any of them yet.

It's strange that in Vice City, as mentioned by other people, you had taxi cabs come pick you up.
Further to this I noticed in the first OG mission you can "Trip Skip"...but I've not seen it since. Perhaps they had bugs with it?

I agree. That is one significant flaw.

The trick is to buy property so you have more positions to save from. Although I do think Rockstar should have placed in more options to ride straight back to the mission like they did for the first few at the start of the game.

Yep using the train is great. Especially when you get up enough speed to derail it
