It's much more like MGS/MGS 2 on normal, is Snake Eater's easy mode. The only real difference is the ease of the boss battles.
    Couldnt Agree more.

I used the Sonar mostly, the other things rarley got touched. You can get the Sniper before you see fight the end, even before the Harbour and snipe the END before the Battle even starts.

Sonars cool but alerts guards (dunno why)! Sometimes its a bit too tedious crawling about because there 'mite' be a guard lurking - so i just keep switching to thermal goggs and scope the area. So i sometimes feel im rushing through it too. So deffo gonna step up the difficulty and play through it again.

Yeah i heard about that approach - Clever. So you wouldnt fight him at all?

You fight him because it's one of the best boss battles in a game ever. Don't you agree?

And sonar alerts the guard because it emits a sound which then bounces off objects back to snake and he see's it on screen so they hear the "binngg!" noise.

I would do it the Normal Way,

Much more fun and if you sneak up on him you can hold him up for his Camo and Sniper Rifle.

I hardly used teh Sniper atall tbh. allways managed to bump into him then unload my M63 into his head

i must agree - a friend told me that it would take over an hour to kill him, i thought it was going to be v tedious, how wrong can i be!! I wish i was doing it now, wouldnt want to bypass that bit at all!!! Gerry thats the approach i took, creep up then let him have it with the shotty while he's snoozing!

Ah so thats how they hear the sonar - ta!

              You can take his camo?

I love The End's camo. Must be the best in the game. I'll be giving that technique a go next time I see him.

You need to sneak up real close and nab him, two or three attempts and he'll hand them over to you !

Just hold him up as usual? On the 2nd/3rd attempt he'll wiggle and drop them? Can you choke him out in one and snap his neck/slit throat etc?

Nope. I tried it, and for some reason Snake can't CQC The End (he just punches him). Ended up switching between SVD and shotgun to kill the old bugger.

Did anyone try to kill Ocelot during the fight with Volgin? Does anything happen if you do that?

I killed Ocelot the first time you meet him in the old factory at Rassvet. It came up with a screen saying "Ocelot is Dead" and I got shouted at by Campbell for creating a time paradox. I thought that was a particularly nice touch.

What fight was this and how did you kill him??

Just after you rescue Sokolov. He's unconscious along with the rest of the Ocelot unit.

Yeah, and there are a few weapons lying around before you get to Rassvet. There's an XM16E1 and an SVD around somewhere, and a M37 shotgun in Rassvet itself.

Shoot him with any of them.

Nice... will need to give that a try!! The more you learn about the game the cooler Ocelt becomes. By the end of the game he is a worthy adversary for Snake. Really liked him!!

I am very behind the times but I have recently started playing this game.....

I've just beaten The Pain and had to go out, so I quit.....

Finding it a lot of fun. Camera was annoying at first but i'm adjusting to it, and i've not played a PS2 in years so i'm just getting used to the controls again.

                                Can't wait to get further.
