Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater

Usually happens after the Virtuous Mission. Each new animal eaten or new injury treated gives a small cutscene in the Survival Viewer. I've had it from eating a snake, a fish and something else that I can't remember. I've had him treat a cut and a broken leg.

On an unrelated note, playing the game on Extreme is suicide.

I've only had it once through the whole game - that was for when I treated a burn.

A mate of mine only had a couple too?

Is it random or what?!

Do you just wait for the scene of do you need to press any buttons?

Had this sitting on my shelf doing 'owt for the last week or so cause' of Halo 2 and Pro Evo Live, can't believe I haven't touched it - it's freakin' brilliant. Really, really gotten into this.

I've never had little cutscenes of snake eating animals and I've finished the game?!

I had one once after doing something in the cure menu and that's it.

How do I get this little clips?

I played the game tonight from the start just to see and I can't get them?

Any ideas?

yeah just seems to come up randomly I think?
The one where he half eats the fish and then puts it down cause it aint that good is jokes! ^_^
I erased my file and started again cause I wanna go through without getting caught once (taking out Ocelats men earlier just by stealth was proper satisfying!)...and I knew I missed out on some items earlier on, one in particular the croc hat! 8)
(Seems there's alot of little secrets dotted here and there in each area )

i completed it on friday and the end cutscene was really emotional and moving

you feel that they have given something to metal gear fans, you see why big boss goes bad and it makes the whole thing feel more complete

i'm gonna go back through it with a guide and find all the little secrets and do all the things i didn't do

it was a real step down from playing such a fantatsic and competent game as this and then move on to pop2

Game of the Year for me and also the best of the trilogy. This games ties up most of the questions from SOL and Jack(John,Snake) is just awesome!

Is it a big game guys? I'm about 4 hours in so far and have just fought... $ a young Ocelot $

It's certainly bigger than Twin Snakes and Sons of Liberty, both in longevity and environmental size. Snake Eater took me approxmiately 20 hours on the clock to beat the first time around on normal, and I was hardly exploring all the surroundings to their full (due to the lack of radar).

Extreme is where its at baby! You don't even get an AP Sensor or any of the other radar type gadgets

It's not just hard for sake of being hard either. New guard placements and enemy attack patterns keep it fresh, and getting away from guards after being seen is a proper challenge.

So far, I just beat The Pain on Extreme and it lasted as long as The End battle can last. Had to stop fighting and go fishing halfway through .

For those approaching the final battle, keep an eye out (or Sonar) for certain creatures on the floor. They're 'very' tasty!

aye, at the end jungle area the snakes there are snake solid, snake liqued and solidus? They give massive stamina recovery hehe

Really tempted to play through this game again and unlock some of the harder special items

i did it in 16 hours and i didn't do very much exploring

in my opinion mgs2 is the pinnacle of the series and an absolute masterpiece, this isn't far behind

it is one of the most impressive games available and full of reasons to go through again, not least to just experience it again

as for game of the year, it just missed it due to burnout 3 but it wasn't far behind

the absolute beauty of some of it should be mentioned, the last boss fight in particular

what can i say? i love that game and whilst people argue, i think it is a masterpiece of not just game based story telling but of gameplay as well

ok there may have been one too many cut scenes but if you get the point of raiden rather than just hating him it soon becomes a fantastic game

But the big shell was a life less boring place to start anyway .. never mind the gay raiden... Snake's where its at ..
