Nah, the final one where he has control of the Shagahod (still sounds like something from an Austin Powers film) I really enjoyed the battles, but the bastard kept coming back for more.

Edit: whoops, too slow. Re: stun grenades. Really? Now there's a surprise, tbh. I normally never use them in the game at all (too loud against usual foot soldiers; too ineffective against bosses).

tbh i harly use teh shotgun.. infact i think i have only used it once in the 4 times though the game.. i prefer sniping and tranq's

I love using the shotgun; best shotgun in-game EVA!!11!!!

I particularly like the way the recipient gets thrown back by the blast.

Yes... first time through I used teh shotgun excessively, and it is the best shotgun of all time - WHOOOMPH!! watch them fly back like they're made from paper

the ****ty camo (literally), the hornet camo, the spider camo, fire, cold war, spirit, animal, the toy duck one which lets you hear the frogs, the snake one, and the sneaking suit. I'm working on the stealth camo at the moment.

Just picked this game up yesterday as i saw it in my local store alongside the DS i was eyeing up.
I've never played MGS2 before but i caught a vibe off MGS1 so i thought i'd give it a shot.
So far i'm not very far in, i just reached the Ocelot battle and i'm finding the whole stealth thing a little difficult (i seem to have this extremely big urge to slit ALL of the guards throats usually ending up with me cocking up the last attempt and then running around CQCing them until i can find somewhere to hide) but i'm enjoying myself so far.
My only gripe with the game really is the inability to change out of first person view when crawling through bushes etc although i can see exactly why they chose to leave it as it is.
I actually can't wait to finish work and get home and play it, i just hope my flat mate isn't playing viewtiful joe 2 when i get back... i just bought that aswell and can't resist playing it when i see someone playing it before me.

To be fair, this niggles me a bit too. In the rest of the game, you have the option to select your view. To force one perspective in this situation is counter to the rest of the game. Not a biggie, though.

Never played an MGS game before, then eh? Well, you've picked the hardest one to start with! It has a far greater level of complexity than the other 2 and assumes, really, that you've brought with you all the moves you've learned from 1 and 2, plus then there's the sneak (which you should use when getting close behind guards, using the D-pad), the camo, the feeding, the curing....

But it's great. For a lot of people who've played it, it's their game of the year.

Yeah, I was going to work on most of those on my second run-through, which i've not properly started yet (feckin Christmas and the busyness it brings ?_?) - Animal camo and Stealth camo sound like the most useful overall, so i'll be working on getting those. Really want the downloadable ones, though.....just cos they're there!

Actually the animal camo isn't that great. Sure it's good when you're sniping, but since we're not killing anyone here it's a moot point About the only time I used it is when you have to snipe the C3 charges on the bridge near the end.

I'm loving the second run-through; stealth has just totally been thrown out of the window in favour of a Rambo-style romp with the patriot. Lots of fun!
