Initial impressions ....
Laggy ... not unplayably, but it is there and it does put your timing off. couple of times i lost the ball cos my player seemed to lag behind the ball (ie i was running down the wing, just getting ready to put a cross in when my player suddenly jumped a few mm back, and the ball rolled out for a goal kick). might be cos only euro players are online at the mo - both my first two games have been against dutch players
s-pad ... sorry but its ****e (though this might be due to playing thousands of hours using the dual shock/dual shock2) ... some people will persevere with it but i didn't .... magic box got plugged in for my 2nd game. buttons are a bit ****ed up ... default is dash to R2, change player to L2. changed it in my options to dash as R1 but can't change the change player to L1 since its judged to be the white button which is used for tactics. took some getting used to within the first game with magic box but easier than getting used to the s-pad
lost my first 2 games -- first one by a shocking margin (lost 6-0 ... heaviest defeat for me for years), 2nd game i lost 1-0 to a scabby goal, had one disallowed for off-side (player was ****ing level with the last defender), had 20+ shots compared to my opponents 3 ... its getting there but the lag is off-putting
bought the game from my local indie ... so give yours a ring
