That's fair enough buddy...
But... the thing is... many of us have already played the game on the Nintendo 64. So we KNOW the gameplay is already intact ? and a very fun, enjoyable and incredibly funny one it is too.
Admittedly there is room for the multiplayer to be a disappointment, though considering the sheer excellence of the 64's version; the hope that the Xbox's version is good too doesn?t look to be too vain. And... well, im after the single player so if the Multiplayer is pants... then, nevermind.
Anyhoo... i agree whole-heartedly that hype can be a painful thing ("dont want you to get hurt"). But it is also a wonderful thing. It depends on the person whether the hype they create is realistic or not. No offence to anyone in particular, but a lot of the hype surrounding Halo 2 and Fable (as you mentioned) were unrealistic and the disappointments felt were inevitable.
And? is there really that much hype surrounding Conkers? Within the same levels as that of Fable and Halo 2?
