Ok, really loving this now. Not knowing which instrument I've selected makes it even more fun as the count in starts - specially if I've selected guitar

Question though, how come I can score in the 90's but sometimes the score appears in a star next to the instrument select bit and sometimes it doesn't? Also I presume the silver stars act as a difficulty ranking for each instruments part? When you nail that piece it changes to gold to show next time its will be trickier? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Oh looks like Gold Star is easy and Silver is hard right? Or is Silver just any direction on d-pad and button and Gold is certain directions and buttons?

I would bail on this and get the US version but I'm loving playing the tunes even if I'm not sure where I'm going with all this...

          Mine shipped too

Looks like someone has already figured out the cart format and written a tool to build a rom with your own songs on.

Has anyone else's expansion cartridge arrived yet? Mine shipped on the 27th as well, and I'm starting to get a little worried.

My request cart turned up today, the selection of songs is fantastic theres loads of catchy ones i like.

Its totally effort free, just plug in the gba cart & the songs will automatically appear in the song list.

Matsuken samba 2 is ace hehe, if you have played donkey konga 3 you will know the one.

Cool. I should be getting mine soon too (dispatched yesterday from ncsx). At the very least it should become a rare item for the future.

One weird thing i have noticed is your high scores arent saved for the new songs.

But i can live with that, about 99% of the new songs i love (^_^)

EDIT: Hehe just checked the instruction leaflet in the box, it says you cant save your high scores. DOH should have looked at that first hehe.

That sounds utterly ****. It's like a shmup that doesn't allow you to save your high scores, pointless.

Still, I'm looking forward t listening to the songs at the very least.

its been a while since i played this anyway, and after playing taiko on psp loads this last week, its quite a shock coming back with the expansion pack.
aurally of course, but physically too...i am now ****.
i might reset my save (however you do it) so i can go back to the fun messing around with just d-pad or buttons mode.
some geat songs in it though...cant remember what i asked them for, but there are quite a lot i recognise.

Mine turned up today, thankfully. I much prefer the new song selection to the original one...it's nice to have some more Ai Otsuka and yoshi-based tunes in there . Although I did reset my game so I was able to play the new songs to a reasonable degree...I appear to gone teh rubbish .

I'd not played the game in a while and before checking out the new songs I had a quick go on Porno Graffiti's melissa. Still managed a pretty decent score after a few weeks of not playing it. Some of the new songs are great in particular the songs that I bought the expansion for, such as Rewrite from Asian Kungfu Generation and Days from FLOW. I can see myself hammering these songs until I've fully mastered them like I did with some of the original songs. Not to menion the other gems that I'd not heard but took a liking to. So far so good
