Don't worry about the ampage, but go for 3 amp so that it'll fuse more easily, if you're worried

Oh, right! It's similar to the IGN one, but then I guess they're all going to look the same with this naming convention.

        3 amp should be fine.

My PSP turned up about half an hour ago and I'm completely blown away by it. It's just beautiful.

Had a quick blast on Ridge Racers, which just seems perfect.

Don't appear to have any dead pixels, which is good news, just need to go and buy a USB cable now...

Recieved mine today and what can i say it has completly blown me away. It`s like a piece of hardware the delorean has brought back from the future If someone said to me a couple of years ago sony were gonna release a handheld as powerful as the ps2 i would of never believed them, but here it is. The screen quality is just amazing, i was never expecting it to be this good and kind of reminds me of a top end arcade monitor with the text being so sharp and clear. Can`t say i`ve done much with it yet as i`m still waiting for my 512MB memory stick to arrive so there no playing around with video or saving on ridge racers. There is a couple of niggles though. The speakers are quite weak on them and aren`t a patch on the DS speakers. Plug in some fontopia earphones though and experience the true psp audio capabilitys. Also the place for where you plug in the charger seems to get in the way a little if you decide to play when charging and would of been better on the top of the system, but do to the design this would of been difficult for sony. Last slight gripe is the right D pad seem a little creaky but not to bothered about it really and works fine. Also to dissapoint the square button bashers i`m sorry to say it works completly fine. Also for the people wondering if the buttons have analog control on them they don`t as far as ridge racers is concerned. Overall a fantastic piece of hardware which is clearly a head of it`s time.

Yeah, the squeeky right d-pad is a bit annoying, and I do find that playing for long periods of time can hurt but other than that I love it.

                Thankfully no dead pixels too.

Can anyone please tell me if you can put the memory stick in when the machine is turned on or do you have to put it in when the machine is turned of? As my memory stick with any luck should be here tomorrow so i might get cracking with ridge racers in abit and put it in standby over night and save it tomorrow?

You can, I just booted Ridge without the MS in, went to Save/Load and it came up with a message (presumabley saying there's no MS), I left the unit on, stuck the MS in and went to Save/Load again and I could save.

quick question. I have the following sony 128meg memory stick:-

Does the psp support these old memory sticks, or am I gonna have to buy a newer 512 model?

Unfortunatly not, the PSP uses MS DUO's which are about half the size.

Get in! My PSP from Yesasia turned up today (less than a week standard shipping = tasty)

'Tis a thing of beauty indeed - can't see any dead pixels, but have only turned it on for a minute or so, so who knows?

Unfortunately, my games & stuff haven't turned up yet, so I got nowt to play :/

I know your pain. I got my PSP last Thursday, but only just picked up my games last night. But, at least it gave me time to mess around with the mem stick and converting movies and whatnot.
