Tried that technique of leaping on the gigapedes back and reflecting its projectiles back all can say blimey its effective kudos for the people who thought to do that

I *had* to do that to get past horsey on hard mode.. not easy though, I was using A&R/cerberus but my combos seemed to keep moving me forwards so I fell off many times.
Got my first S rank for style last night, means nowt to you lot but I was well chuffed! I was trying to pull off that infinite A&R aerial-rave... I managed to get one repeat that looked identical to saurian's vid (I don't think it came from the air-hike because I didn't see any sign of the glowing platform) but unfortunately the enemy dropped so I slashed away at nothing and then fell to the ground myself. Not long afterwards I managed to pull off a million slash on three reapers at once, probably the nicest move I've managed - and it's only a basic one!Comment

Looks like theres been some good play over the weekend then
Managed to take out Vergil 2 after checking Venom's vids with only half my life being stripped (mainly because I got too into trying to break him out of his devil trigger for which he punished me). So thanks for that mate
Been throwing in the 'Nevan Hover' a stupid amount to perfect the 'Step Up' and 9/10 its working like a dream - although my house mate is getting pissed off with the constant "BEDAAAAM" guitar sound repeating over and over >_<
Gigapede has been getting a hiding too this weekend.
Straight away jump on its back as its going into its hole and slash it up with Rebellion then flip back onto the ledge above it, when it comes back out, jump back onto it landing on its head, go Doppelganger and start slashing. You will ride it all the way to its far hole doing insane damage to it and it will be dead before it gets the chance to fully disappear in the hole. All too easy. Landed in a mad close up of Dante looking very smug.
Been doing major theatrix on him too. 'Nevan Hover' is MINT for this section because of the stupid height you can get but Doppelganger Nevan LIGHTSHOW into its brain is just awesome
Batting back his shots is coming on a treat. Just need to work out something to buss underneath him.
That things Brother betters not be in DMC4 cos he gonna be super pissed at me

This is the time consuming way i am doing the game
picking two melee weapons and using swordmaster doing each stage first on easy then up to dantes must die not going on to the next difficulty until i have got a S rank
on that stage THEN choosing different combinations of melee weapons i do perhaps 4 stages then i choose a different style and repeatComment

I was pretty chuffed with myself for getting continuos showtimes on vergil one on normal.. So there.. Parrying everything he threw at me.

I proper went up a notch with Swordmaster over the weekend, that Enemy Step technique to cancel moves changes everything! I've got new stuff with every weapon, after infinite slashes with A&R I can switch into a stupidly fast repeating Revolver, or get Nevan's Air Play to repeat really fast. Beowulf is SICK! You can chain together it's air moves so wickedly - like from A&R slashes you can Killer Bee > Enemy Step > Hammerblow > Enemy Step > Volcano > Ashes to Ashes, and it all flows together!
I just been sitting there in the room with the regenerating Hell Sloths on mission 16 - it's wicked for working out combos!Comment

Been practising on DMD bosses again over the weekend. Totally owned Beowulf but had to change RG tactics cos he doesn't follow the same pattern as Hard.
Nevan killed in under 2 minutes with RG, Nevan (This weapon totally destroys her bat shield!) and Beowulf. Use Nevan combo 3 when she's still to get rid of her bat shield. 2-3 moves is all it takes! Parry her "Get ready move!" and you should have your DT and Release ready for when her shield breaks.

Can anybody do a list for me of what's in each Mission (Spoiler it so that the new headz don't get mad).
I got a rough idea but because I keep playing it out of order it gets a little muddled in my head. Which Missions are which Bosses would do tbh o_O Soz if this has been posted already, I tried to write it down last night but you know how Dante can sidetrack you
Just been thinking on it during lunch, but not certain this is correct, anybody help fill in the gaps?:
Been messing with Beowulf a bit. That pause while you build up the uppercut and Dante's arm slowly goes back is an intense thing to do in the middle of some chaos. No exactly what you mean Summah. At points during my holiday I was compiling a soundtrack in my head of what I was gonna have playing while bussin some Dante action. Cant beat it when a game grips you in that way.Comment

Mission 1 - (the Lab)
Mission 4 - (better version of the nightclub fight if you walk back, perfect for Swordmaster practice)
Mission 9 - (+ first Spider fight! It's a good one but it's over quickly)
Mission 11 - Beowulf (aww poor booboo)
Mission 12 - (infinite Devil mode ruck!) Stupid0r the Wonder Horse.
Mission 16 - Lady, allow that bee-arch (best Spider fight ev4r!11 - walk back to the Storeroom where you got Ambrosia before you fought Nevan, go Royal Guard and enjoy yu0r stay! Just walk out and back in to get some more Spid3h!11)
(Also best version of the skull room - regenerating Hell Sloths for your Swordmastering pleasure!)
Also try falling down the tower and walking aaaall the way back to outside Dante's Lab - wicked kick-off there man! Hell Sloth army and 2 Hell's Vanguards to maul.
I've got some ILL stuff in Swordmaster now man - I've proper used my Sharingan on that combo video posted up here and I've got all of it down. It's all down to choreographing now, the individual skills I've got down and then some.Last edited by Saurian; 05-07-2005, 09:26.Comment

New meth against Doppelganger:
You don't need to attack him at all. Just concentrate on keeping 2 light shields open. He'll come and attack you and then he'll run away. Equip Cerberus and run to the inner circle of the arena and pull off Revolver as soon as throws a fireball (to shut one of the light shields) to reflect it back at him. This takes off an 1/8th of his energy on DMD! Rinse and repeat and attack him when he's in the light to finish him off quickly.Comment
