        NICEEE!!

Thats like ?600 worth of CPU there, impressive. Coupled with 7900 GTX 512mb SLi-ness, that must be a pretty fun system to play on!

I hate rich people, I plan on spending about ?500-600 upgrading my system next month when x2 prices go down but you've spent that alone on a processor!

You do live in Glasgow though so I can I come round and play some time!?

              Anyway back on track

I'm still playing, and I was getting a bit bored of offices, but I just escaped them. Yes, I have just started Interval 8 - Desolation, which is set in some kind of ruined urban area. I'm finding it much more atmosf.e.a.r.ic than the office blocks, the girl just freaked me out in a big big way. Plus finally a good fight with a robodude, he just kept on coming and coming and kicking the **** out of me (not to give too much away here!).

Definitely the way to play this is extreme difficulty, with headphones (so you hear all the background noise), and only using checkpoints for saving - F5 really makes it too relaxed. I'm having to replay all the best scenarios to get out alive, but the more mundane stuff I can usually do first time - health is pretty generous after all.

Did anyone else keep going this far?

                Finished it

Well I've finished it, it was about the right length for me. Any longer and I would have got bored. However I can see that if you paid ?35 for it you might feel a bit cheated.

I think I followed most of the story but why

does your brother Paxton just give up at the end? He just waits for you to take him down... I guess he accomplished his mission and was ready to die, or maybe that was actually Alma acting through you (so you appeared as Alma to him?). I dunno.
Also, why do all your weapons disappear towards the end. Fair enough when hallucinating but when you are back in "reality" you should get them back? Do you never actually make it back to reality proper?

Not a bad story really, enough to keep me interested and pretty scary (with headphones in a dark room). I do think they should have mixed the horror in with the combat a bit more, e.g. having spooky things happen during firefights to distract you, so you just end up shooting at shadows etc. It was a bit too signposted when something would happen.
