To those whinging about ?1 a game - the whole point with racers (and fighters) is that it is winner stays on. If you win against a challenger, you play the next race free. And so on.

Thats a bit bollocks. Who'd pay ?4 for four of their little tykes to play a game for 2 minutes (when they fail to get to the first checkpoint)? No-one.

I'm yet to play on an Initial D cabinet where you continued for free if you won a two player race. The best deal i've seen was in a couple of Tokyo arcades where you got a continue for 50Y instead of the 100Y that the initial credit cost.

I Need to find some cheaper arcades to play at methinks.
