I setup some of the accessories last night, but I've only got 4 slots, so I'm guessing you can unlock more slots the further you progress. Not sure what everything did, had mostly clothing based items added.

I'm making on average 3mil per SP session at the moment. It seems that you make more money than you can spend it in this one, which is the total opposite to previous Battle games. Same goes for the upgrades. In Kaido 2 it tooks ages to get a half decent car running, in RB you start the game with a pretty sweet car

Yes, money is not a problem. When the engine swap becomes available you can makes some serious machinery... for a price. A couple of 15 minute RP sessions and you can buy a fully modded monster of some sort. I think it is about time I made a go faster people carrier just for a bit of variety.

I unlocked some more options which show as a car silhouette on the daily "news". I have no idea what they added though as I think I now have all the normal cars unlocked (71 of them). I have 3 special/custom machines to buy as well.

The only thing to beware of is using the sub-garage. You have to make sure that you save after swapping cars around. I had 9 cars at the last count so I hope there are still 6 in the sub-garage (there was a topic on Gamefaqs where someone lost a car... I think that happened to me in TXR3).

Playing for a bit last night and realised that every event I went into I was using Pack B, which is my RP pack, so obviously no good for the SP and DP events. Didn't realised you had to switch packs...DOH!

I had put it on the menu list but forgot to highlight the swap according to the races. Easy enough to do from the race menu (as is selecting a setting and tyre type). My main problem is using the wrong tyres. There is nothing more frustrating than finding shot tyres in the middle of an SP challenge. The handling then is a nightmare!!

I am still trying to recognize some of the items. I left a message on the board at Gamefaqs (using another alias of RogsR34UK there as it is my most widely used alias!).

I now have 12 cars. After loading yet another to the sub garage I realised I had 9 there...

          My original Subaru Legacy
          Honda Beat
          Suzuki Cappuccino
          Nissan Silvia S15 Aero
Toyota Corolla Levin (the one with the custom paint)
Nissan Cube EX (another custom paint job)
          Honda Integra (latest)
Honda S2000 (with 2.2 NA engine)
          Suzuki Carry

The two older cars in the main garage are:

          My late model Legacy
Lancer EVO V (now with the stock engine upgraded for about 750 HP)

My latest creation is a people carrier in the shape of a Toyota Wish (it was the lightest). Turbo Rotary and 600 HP and it cleaned up on a Rank C SP Battle in the second street circuit. I did some adjustments to the settings and gears. Good for over 200 mph if necessary. Handled surprisingly well.

I had a 15,000,000+ 15 minute SP session last night! After putting together the people carrier and running a 5 minute SP session I still have getting on for 40,000,000 in the bank... time for a custom/special purchase I think. There was a custom paint red RX7 Infini III in the used shop last night, but I didn't bother. I wonder how the Genki S2000 would be for drifting (I wonder if I can adjust the green!!).

Yeah you can't get away with the wrong tires in this one. I had a quick blast this morning with soft slicks in the rain and couldn't even get it moving in a straight line.

Ahh I recognise your other nick. Did you used to post on Granturismo.com when it was still open? I think I've seen it over on GTplanet.net too?

Yes I was a mod at Granturismo.com. RogsR34UK is my name for all things GT!!! I am still filling in the gaps in the GT "collection" I have some PS1 versions to look out for!!

I know wrong tyres is a real pain as I fitted the wrong ones for a session and it wouldn't let me get a new set in the pits!! I was a little unimpressed to say the least. At least there is a quit option in the menu at the end of a challenge in SP mode.

I was surprised to find that my people carrier could hit 100 mph in about 8 seconds!!

I tried that Nitto track in the arcade. It is very short.

I must say I am a little disappointed with the track selection...

The old loop (two directions, one day and one night I think)
The shortened loop from Region 2 in TXR3/SB01
              Suzuka East
              Suzuka West
              Suzuka Full
              Tsukuba
              T1 (Aida)
              Nitto
Oval (test drives only but is used for the 0-400 and 0-1000).

I loved blasting down that long 3 lane motorway (22 miles I believe also with the extension in TXR3/SB01). It was amazing how much that took out of the car!

Are you still playing the PSP variation on this? Is it worth getting?

Ahh yes I remember you now.

Yeah the track selection is the only disapointing thing in RB. They could have at least thrown in some of the new highways in SB01.

Not played SB PSP for a while as the loading times kind of hinder the experience a little, but it's still a great game. I should really get back into it.

Yes I have been around on the GT forums for a fair time.

I wonder what the capacity of the sub-garage is. I feel the need to build more cars!!

I am still having problems with drifting. What car have you been using?

Still using my RX8, had no problems with the DP events. What I've been doing is letting the car oversteer naturally rather than using the brakes to send it into a drift. This is usually enough to drift through the entire corner.

Have you tried the Genki S2000? That should drift like a dream.

It took me a while to find the handbrake I must admit. I was wondering about that Genki S2000 as the normal S2000 seems OK. It is a matter of finding the right balance between power and controllability as the handbrake can very quickly cause a spin. What tyres do you normally use for drifting?

Just ordered the PSP Shotoko Battle from Yes-Asia before they stop exporting PSP stuff to the UK (pity... Play Asia would have been a pound or two cheaper).

I'm using soft slicks, not ventured any further than those for any of the events, although now with all the rainy events I'm going to need to purchase a set of those HGs soon.

I purchased a used Toyota MR-2 G-Limited Supercharger. I fully tuned it (about 350 HP) and it the best car I have tried so far for drifting as it seems well able to cope with power on oversteer. You still need to be a bit careful obviously but it seems capable of going where I want it to! It is one of the better controllable mid-engined cars that I have tried... so far. I just need practice now and also need to figure out how to use the Accessory pack to "adjust" my scores!

Have you tried the RX8 yet? As I saw someone else mentioning it over on GameFAQs as a good drift car.

I tried the RX-8 last night. I didn't think it was any better than the S2000 and subsequently Lancer EVO VIII (with drive biased towards the rear) I had been using. For some reason the MR-2 was rubbish at drifting at Suzuka West.

I unlocked the Sunauto Lancer last night. Not spectacularly fast but I thpught I'd might as well spend some of the 50,000,00+ on something!! It is faster than the Genki S2000 so I did manage to get about 3,000,000 back with it after a 5 minutes session.

There is a used MR-2 (latest model) in the used lot that I may try out for drifting. It has some stripes added but I may change the body colour from white.

Do you know when the engine swapout becomes available? I've been racing for quite a while now but it's still not selectable.

BTW what control method are you using?
