I was before Day 50 (someone thought it occurred at Day 50 but I wan't much over 40). I was doing very little dirfting so that has no bearing on it. It may have been down to mileage on the car I suppose (not sure how far I drove that Legacy). I presume you are now Rank B?

I can do an engine swap on any car (admittedly I didn't bother with the RX-8 as I was trying that out for drifting). How many Custom/Specials have you iunlocked now (I have the three Specials and the one Custom or vice versa). I have the Genki S2000, Alpine Altezza and Sunauto Lancer in the one section and the Civic Racer in the other. Have you unlocked the Civic racer yet?
Have you noticed the starred events in the Field Selection? I think they signify that you can unlock a new car. The last one I had unlocked the Sunauto Lancer.

I still don't seem to be getting any benefit from my accessory packs other than increased field of view in SP and RP modes.
For the drift bonus I am sure I have managed a complete run with no bad Stop Judgements but still no bonus.
There are some incredibly hig scores to beat in DP. I saw a 200,000 one last night (may have been a couple of laps ... The best I have managed on one lap has been about 78,000.

Looks like I was mistaken by my time with the game, I'm only on day 34. Bought an NSX last night but didn't have enough cash to kit it out, but a couple of SP sessions with the RX8 soon sorted that
Checked the custom and special cars, I only have the Genki S2000 and Civic Racing ones available at the moment.
Not noticed the starred events, but I will keep an eye out for them later.

Sounds like you have a little way to go before the engine swap unlocks.
I tried an NSX and was not that impressed. I may try the newer model.
Tried the late model MR-2 for drifting last night which seemed as good as the early one. I'll problably try the other MR-2 (GT-S) now to see how that behaves. Should be able to get more power out of it (maybe not such a good thing for drifting).
I am still trying to find out what the drift ring looks like. I could do with the double points on some of the DP challenges. I think I split my time equally last night between this and "Juiced".

I bought the PS2 version. The handling is almost on a par with the PS2 version of NTSU2. The car seems if anything to be a little too grippy on the corners!!! There are plenty of upgrade options, at least as many as RBC1GP. You ebeb get to choose the type of paint you want on the car (colour choice is better) and even the colour of the wheels. At least the cars are cheap to start with (all used other than the Peugeot 206). Unfortunately there are only 3 type of car available initially and I now have all three (one tuned, one mildly tuned and one stock) and marginally more money than I started with. No other cars unlocked yet. Plenty of races to do though. I have the game on "trial" from GAME but will probably keep it.
I really need to improve my drifting in RBC1GP though I can get some of the challenges OK. I think it was the one where I was supposed to get 240,000 in however many laps that was a little beyond me, especially as it took me 4 attempts to exceed 78,000 in two laps of Tsukuba (I was less than 1000 short on two attempts... argh).

Hmmm, I might have to give it another go then.
I'm not bad with drifting at the moment. Most events are around the 50,000 mark which I can almost double, so if I'm given more steps (i think that's how the game refers to them) I should breeze through them.
I am really getting into it now. I like how the core of all the battle games are pretty much the same, but each one offers a different experience. Still, Kaido Battle 2 has the edge over the rest for me at the moment, but that might change soon.

I now have the other MR-2. Over 700 HP I think with the Turbo L4 engine swap. It actually handles very well. I only spent about half an hour with the game so did't do very much.
I noticed that all cars (assuming they have the power) cannot exceed 370 km/h. The MR2 got up to that speed easily and just stayed at it on the Oval. I think the same restriction has been in the previous games.
May have to give Kaido Battle 2 a go then. I was pointed to some AR2 codes for it which came from the Kaido Battle Central Forums. Not that I intend using them for the moment.

I might sign up and see if we can get some discussion going again
Bought BG3 no too long ago but I've not really played it as I was busy with KB2, there's so much to play and so little time.
Played a little more RB last night and it was the first time I have been beaten by a rival, was completely blown away, a total opposite to all the other rivals I have faced previously. Would have been nice if Genki had implemented a smoother difficulty curve.

I have had no problems with SP and RP, unless my tyres have been shot. Unlocking the engine swap was good for another 100 HP. Even using my 600 HP people carrier I can leave most of the other cars for dead.
I did have a major problem with a white Lancer Evo V or VI with over 700 HP. It was at Suzuka West and I think it was wet. I'd managed to stay ahead of him and took a lot out of his gauge but he got past me. He tangled up with another car on the next corner and I won!!
