Cho ****to Caduceus/Trauma Center: Under the Knife

Been playing this for a few hours now and it's great!
You take the role of a rookie doctor and perform operations. There are a variety of tools you can use and the music is intense so you really do feel like a patient's life is in your hands!
The game is playable without Japanese knowledge which is only neccessary for understanding the game's story.
All in all, a great game to add to your DS collection!

    Info: Scored 31/40 in Famitsu.

Come on venom spill the beans (^_^)

I have mine on its way but i want to hear how the operations work are there lots of them.

I managed to finish tendo doctor but to be honest there could have done with more operations as it was nearly all story.

The operations work really well. You have around 10 different tools to play around with. I haven't played through that many operations so can't give you an exact number as to how many there are. They do vary in what you have to do though.
For my first operation I had to remove glass from deep wounds and then stitch them up. But for my second one, I had to remove a tumour!
Oh, and I find it much better than tendo doctor.

Are the objectives and mission text in English then? Hmmm may be worth an import (and a DS)

Afraid not. But it's pretty obvious what you have to do. There are short tutorials for first time operations. Just post here if you need any help.

Sounds great, but isn't there meant to be a US version coming out in qtr 3? Called Trauma Center or something? If so, I'll wait for the translation...

The US version comes out on November 15th under the title "Trauma Center: Under the Knife." That's almost a 6 month wait!

Yeah same here. The DS is really something special. There are so many unique games/simulations available. I'm currently addicted to replaying levels (selectable once the stage has been cleared) in this game to better my scores!

                  Goemon coming on Wednesday! Woot!

Does that mean you've finished it already?

No, not yet. You can replays levels once they've been completed, not when you've completed the game.

Just got in & found my copy of cadaceus has arrived yaay.

Played it for a bit & its really fantastic. There is a lot of japanese in the game but its mainly the story bits, best thing is you can fast forward through those by pressing the select button so you can get straight to tne operation.

Im upto operation number 4 where you have to remove the polyps, hehe my patient keeps bleeding to death. Like venom said the first few operations are training modes so you get used to which item does what.

I plan on a mini run down of the operations once i have had a good play tonight.

hehe yeah i found out the green vaccine raises the heart rate i wondered why the operation was so hard.

Just done the operation where the patient has gone into arrest & you have to massage the moving blue bar to start them again, then its major glass removal time (^_^)

This games kicks total ass, its everything tendo doctor should have been.

Im now stuck on operation 7 the one where you have to sort the liver out.

I have used the magnifier to zoom in to the veins on the liver & i can see these round things floating through the veins. I can turn them visible by clicking the magnifier on them & i can temporarly stop them with the forceps but i dont know how to get rid of them.

                              Any clues??

                              {edit}

Worked it out i had to cut round them then suck it out.
