My god, man are you ever happy with anything!?

Seriously though, I quite liked the story. Some aspects of it were quite mature in terms of its allusions to medicine, I thought.

Yeah, I've been pretty happy recently with Animal Crossing, Street Fighter Zero 3, Oendan, Shadow of the Colussus, Mario Kart DS...I could go on. It's not enough that I enjoyed the game is it? Do I have to adore it to the point of complete blindness to anything else? Would that help?

What a game. If anyone is half thinking of getting this game, I would recommend it without a doubt.

The gameplay is heartstopping, and very addictive. Some operations are very very difficult but the fact that you know if you mess one up it is because of you means that you immediately want to have another go.

Special mention must go to the backstory. This is one of the VERY FEW games whose story I have been bothered to pay any attention to. It IS quite soapy, admittedly, but as it goes on it does get very interesting, and for a video game, quite mature. The word "bastard" is used a few times, much to my surprise, and it is actually used perfectly, at just the right times. The subjects dealt with in the game are pretty deep too: suicidal tendencies, euthanasia, medical terrorism, professional self doubt, what it really means to be a doctor etc etc. And it deals with them in a pretty non-flippant way too, as much it can do, given that all the story part is just a way to fill up the spaces between the meat of the game: the operations.

There are one or two nice surprises too, the trips abroad, the puzzles, the flight section, the fantastic and totally unexpected situation at the "Conference Centre".......

A few faults, the touch screen is sometimes a little stubborn, there could be more variation with the operations (more routine operations would have been nice, in more varied parts of the body) rough grading system which is hard to understand, but these are things which should be sorted for a sequel, they dont detract too much from the main game at all. It is different, skillful, fun, interesting, makes you think what it is like being a real doctor, in spite of the at times improbable story.

I know this is a bit of a bump but just wanted to ask a question as there's something really annoying me.

How on earth do you delete save file games from the cartridge ?

Even doing a search on google I can't seem to find out, a friend of mine suggested holding down L+R+X+Y+A+B but that didn't work.

I'm giving the game to a friend of mine so would like the cartridge to be clean when I do (though it's not the end of the world if it isn't)
