    I am loving! this game.

The best song by far has to be Yaida Hitomi - Over The Distance closely followed by Rinda Rinda and Mary. I love all the songs down the left hand side. Then the ones across the middle.

for me the weakest song has to be the last one where you try to save the world. Ready Steady Go.

Does anybody know if there is a soundtrack to buy?

    Is this the soundtrack? http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...an-70-cuj.html

I don't think there is an official soundtrack on sale, but there is a bittorrent version out there with all the songs.

I'm still stuck on the last song.. Super challenging but never frustrating, as it's always my fault when things go wrong!

No, that's not the soundtrack. I'd heartily recommend buying some Asian Kung-Fu Generation though (they're on the level where the schoolkid is trying to study despite his noisy family). They're great!

Seconding the AK-FG recommendation, they're one of the bands on the soundtrack that I actually like consistantly rather than the odd track here and there.

Just got the Police + final stage to go on the last difficulty... the life bar jumps and recovery are now at the point of being absolutely ferocious

            Got this last night.

            What. A. Game.

The game proves just how flexible a machine the DS is. The use of the stylus is spot on, making this the perfect Rhythm Action game (almost).

I'm really, really enjoying this a lot. There's next to no chance this will ever grace UK shores, so it's a shame that so many people will miss out on this.

Regarding difficulty settings, I'm not sure what mode I'm on. When I started, I picked the first option (with the spiky, red-headed troupe member), but later realised there was a second (with a grey haired, bespectacled guy), but those levels were insultingly easy, so I went back to the other mode. Am I to take it these are the normal and easy modes? I also noticed the songs seemd to be different in both modes as well.

Yeah, I found out the hard way too Top (at first) is Normal, bottom with the bloke who's infinitely crapper than spiky guy, is easy.

I'm still annoyed at Ready, Steady, Go - the intro takes an age even if it is a bit cool.

I meant to PM you to tell you to get this little gem because I knew you would like it.

It is so addictive, just one more go! I must have spent a few hours every night with it since I got it.

I would say it is the best rhythm game I have played and that includes Gitaroo Man and Frequency.

                  Heh.

Does anyone else think this would make a great anime?

I can see it; a three-strong troupe who can be called on to help people in times of dire need by singing in dancing, all they have to do is summon them.

                  "OENDAAAAAAN!!"

Stuck on Ready Steady Go, though starting on easy mode then on to normal hopefully tonight.

What a game though absolutely fantastic

This arrived in the post today. I'm loving it at the moment. Playing it on easy and have been getting Cs and Ds on all stages which i completed first time until the stupid pottery guy. I've been stuck on him for a while - i get caught out when it turns into the DJ thing.
One thing - does anyone actually watch the top screen for the story bits whilst playing - sometimes i would like to see whats actually going on but dont have time to see and play.

That's what the replays are there for. When you finish a stage/song or whatever you want to call it there's an option to play back a replay of your performance so you can check out the story sequences on the top screen. I think it's the bottom right option on the score screen that appears at the end of the song.

                              You will.

If you don't, then sir, you do not have a soul.

                                I'm intrigued by this game.
However it's still just a rhythm game isn't it?
If I've never been into rhythm type games and are rubbish at them, will I enjoy this one?
