Finally picked this up at the weekend after all the hype its been getting here and it scared the hell out of me. What the hell is going on and why can I only last a couple of seconds before its game over >_< I love everything I have seen and heard so far I just wish I could play the damn thing
Although I've not given it too much time due to Mario Kart and Sonic tripping me down memory lane...

Wait till you get to some of the fast later songs later on - I'm a six second wonder on some of those at the moment
This game cracks me up all the way - I think it must be the brilliant art direction. The horse one just makes me laugh all the way through it particularly when
you mess up the second bit (as I frequently do) and he doesn't make it over the barrier, smashing his knees on the floor
In such a short space of time this has become one of my games of the year.

Feeling this now, but have a couple of questions:
What's the number in the bottom right hand corner of the top screen mean? I get a 12 on some and a 5 on others?
Also I'm playing a second hand copy, is there a way to clear the cart of any saves that may be on there? Got the feeling I'm starting way to advanced, either that or this game is solid >_<

Yes there is, and here it is (courtesy of a gamefaq) (it's also in the manual I believe).
Done everything that you could possibly do in the game? Wish you
could start the whole thing over again? Fret not. When you turn
on your DS and get to the Nintendo/Inis intro screen, hold A, B, X, Y,
L and R and the same time. Here you will get an choice:
Do you want to delete your save?
Left - Yes
Right - No
If you choose 'yes'...:
Are you sure?
Left - Yes
Right - No
Choose 'yes 'again, and everything will be gone. It will be as if
nothing was ever played, and you can enjoy Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan again
