Im still really enjoying it, although i think the appeal is coming to an end now that im nearly ranked 1 on both characters. Training modes are v dull though as some of them are just too random, meaning i play the same ones over and over.

I think it would have been better to allow skills to raise from playing games as well. Afterall you can beat Feddora 10 times and it does nothing for you running/shots/serves, yet running over some cans once does....
Make the mini games focused, so you can concentrate and give specific improvements on some stats, and a lesser overall raise depending on how well you play in games. That way the option is there to ignore them, yet still get better, or train and improve an area quicker.
Wish it had an infrastructure mode, as that would make the appeal last longer.

I'm sure if we'd not had to get the game out for launch, that Infrastructure might have been an option. Design wise we went with what was there, it does work quite well I think mind, but I do agree that maybe playing matches and winning should also count towards your skill levels

To be honest I don't think the problems with the game are due to the conversion that Sumo did, it's a decent port of a game thats a few years old now and showing its age. Yeah its a decent arcade tennis game, but after playing Topspin I find that it's shot type, and variety of play is limited.

If it was the worse game on the PSP I could understand it, as it is we've had a lot of positive response and in general most people like it. Me, if I don't like a game, I don't play it. I don't feel the compulsion to go onto a forum and start shouting abuse at the developers. Which lets face it, is pretty rude.

This may have been asked before in this thread, but instead of trawling through 13 pages for it, here goes:
I cannot seem to go to the next level on the mini games in World Tour. Obviously, I complete the set objectives, but when I'm on the map screen, it still shows the event as level 1. Anyone able to shed some light on this?

It does to the extent that meeting the minigame objectives increases the player stats at a faster rate than failing the task, but I think what you're asking is if passing the objectives once causes the minigame to level-up and the answer to that is no.
So basically the level of the minigame depends on the stats level of all the stats affected by that particular minigame.
Does that make anymore sense?

If you're going onto a forum about gaming, in a topic on a game made by your company, the chances are you will read comments you don't like / agree with.
In my opinion the game has serious flaws that with a bit of extra dev time could, I think, have been fixed.
My opinion of the game does not mean I have anything against you or your company. ( I love your Outrun 2 XBOX conversion).
But I and others are entitled to come onto boards like this and express our opinions, that is why forums exist, after all.
If I have caused you offence then I'm sorry. But I stand by my opinion of the game.Last edited by SCCAAMMM; 18-09-2005, 16:10.
