heh, Burnout and Gran Turismo are games that definately don't go in the same sentence unless we're talkin about opposites.

The gameplay mechanics of Burnout 4 could take some getting used to, but in normal races, the handling mechanics are as simple as, if not simpler than Outrun 2, only with a boost button

I noticed the other night I am only 1 or 2 away from completion of most Challenges in each area, so I might go and do that. Shouldn't be too much of a problem earlier in the game.

That Burning Lap in the Logitch racer in Motortown is SOOOO hard

Had a good session on this just now. I now have 2 Challenges remaining:

White Mountain
$10,000,000 score in Crash Mode

Eternal City
$5,000,000 score in Crash Mode

Everything else is done, which has unlocked an arsenal of cars for me I am digging the Etnies NASCAR which is 'medium' weight, and proved helpful in getting some of the "race without crashing" awards.

Personally I don't think I can manage $10,000,000 and $5,000,000 scores in Crash Mode on those areas, unless someone knows of a sure fire way of getting them?

I have about 12 Signatures to get, which is poor to be honest, but they are always nails, and for most of them I have to hang around certain spots waiting for cars to come along, which isn't too much fun. The ones I know I am missing are the Bowling Alley on Sunshine, the Constuction site on the freeway on Eastern Bay, and the steps in Eternal City.


Doing this tonight has put my remaining car count down to 4 (one of which I can't ever get because I don't play American Football games), and my % beyond 90%, so thats good. Just need to carry on with Series 10 now


edit: Just got the Vertical in Snow Mountain, and the 30 Takedown event in Eternal City. Come on! Now for that Burning Lap in Motorcity....

The Burning Lap on Motor City is an absolute bitch, mainly because the Logitech Racer understeers and there are 90 degree corners and oncoming traffic to negotiate.

Obviously crashing even once ruins your chances but I reccomend learning the best shortcuts and you'll start getting witihin a second of gold. From memory it pays to actually NOT go for the vertical ramp car-park sections and instead just rip through that section... sure you miss out on boost but it doesnt seem to be a problem here anyway and the time you save is crucial.

The other hard part is getting some of the crash totals, the one for sunshine keys took me a while (think its $9m) and there is one crash level for it.... and of course the signature takedowns are just complete luck if you ask me, but going on a road rage event and just repeating will help you get most of them.

TBH once you get the Nixon special, Criterion Racer and the Etnies stock car its hardly worth getting the rest as I dont think they are much use in multiplayer. The Nixon is my weapon of choice I have to say, its only 205mph as opposed to 209mph but its so nimble it will win through the mayhem every time provided you can handle it.

Aaaaah, that's my problem too. One time (this is about 3am), after a little drinky, I was so incredibly fixed on playing Rainbow Six: Lockdown on Live, I actually just booted my flatmate off her 'net connection and banned her temporarily without telling her. I feel quite bad about it now! I would have just gone out and asked her if it was okay for her to log out, but she was asleep...

Someone said the signature takedowns arent fun, and I agree, its one thing that would not be missed in BO4 imo as I never think about signature takedowns in a race so they have no bearing on the gameplay as such for me.

I find them fun to get as a bonus as you race, but a chore to collect them all. So maybe keep them, but take them out of the 100% complete equation? (like the bonus burnout 3 and Hockey Cars?)...

It's a classic case of 'I heard it from someone on here' but I can't remember who! It would make sense in my mind though, to have a game that you can't 100% without other titles is scandalous! (not counting arcade link-ups like f-zero and tekken).
