    Maybe he's inside the mountain!!!?

Well that doesnt sound so bad anyway about everyone else's play time. I like to take my time and explore anyway so I think it should be okay for me!

Is there anything to find when you explore or is just for the views?

Has anyone tried this with Swap Magic yet? I REALLY want to buy it, but need to know whether I can use swap magic, or have to buy an imported PS2.

        Cheers.

        James.

Out of interest, what age rating is this game? I've seen screens with RP and Teen.

If its Teen, is it purely the difficulty that makes it a Teen rating, or is there swearing, gore etc.

The reason I'm asking is that I want to play this through with my 5 year old daughter watching, who is a massive Link fan, so this should be right up her street. I think she can handle the odd scare here or there, but not too much blood and guts

          Cheers

Well there is blood spurting out when you stab the collossi in the head etc but I think its done quite tastefully. Not over the top or anyway. Not got it yet so cant really give proper answer, wait for someone else to say. I dont imagine there would be swearing/gore etc though!

                  butchcvc -

Grab it's attention by shooting an arrow at it, then when it raises it's hoof, shoot it so it goes down then climb...

I am completely blown away that this is on the PS2. It looks and feels stunning, but I can't help feeling it is a very very sparse game. The battles are immense and quite sad, the sheer magnitute of everything this game is doing at once is fantastic.

One complaint is that I was playing it with a mate watching so we weren't rushing, it took about 30 minutes and we'd killed 2 colossi. We'd encountered nothing else but those 2 colossi and some birds.

                        How short is this game?

All there is is the colossi, and the environment to ride through, its a very light game in that respect, but taking down the colossus is so much fun!

Taken down number 5 \o/, my favourite so far, last part of the fight was trickey, fell off once, trying to reach the last wing :S

It could be really short. I just finished off colossus number 8 and i've got 3 1/2 hours on the clock, i stopped for a bit cuz i've reached half way and really don't want to finish it quickly. I have also been taking my time, i've been exploring a bit but there isn't really anything to do, it's nice to admire the views but all you can really do is go to the next colossus.

Something i have also been doing is replaying a few of them. If you go to the corpse of a fallen colossi and hit the O button, it asks you if you would like to go into 'reminisence'mode were you can replay that colossus .

It is very cool except it has one of those Ico-esq Movie Film filters on it, which is kind of cool but i'd rather turn it off, but you can't.

I love this game so far, it is very easy, but a unique experience. Unfortunitly I don't think the PS2 can handle what is asked of it.
The game suffers from 'Halo 2-itis' as in lots of LOD poping, and the frame rate is a bit too low. I can reach around 30fps sometimes but is usually lower.

My fav collossi so far is Three. I've seen him in lots of screen shots and thought he was awesome cool but didn't expect to encounter him so eairly.
In fact ALL of them so far are INCREDABLE, truely awe inspiring. Number Five BLEW ME AWAY

i didn't expect the bird to fly down at me, i thought WTF!!!?? and instictively grab on to it's wing without thinking. Then i was in for a ****ing AWESOME ride.

                            I also LOVED

Angry Beard Man, as soon as he lowered his head for me i thought to myself [Con Smith] YOU'RE ****ED![/Con Smith]. wasn't so much a fan of the Water dude, the frame rate went a bit too choppy. and wall climbing dude was unexpected, more like a regular boss. Could have been straight from Zelda

I don't want to finish the game so soon. but i can't resist

                            *Powers up PS2

P.s for people having trouble mounting Arrow, use the R1 button to grab on. Works every time.

I finished the 8th colossus off last-night then switched off, since I really want to savour this all weekend.

Once you hit that "zone", your compelled to hunt and destroy another innocent colossi.

I polished off 5 before calling it a night last night... First colossi took me quite a few attempts (I have a habit of missing stupid obvious things) but since then have been sailing through quite comfortably.

What can I say? The art direction, the music, and the sense of atmosphere and surroundings is immense, nothing short of incredible.

Everything negative I can say about this game is sadly more of a technical issue rather than a design issue; the frame rate, more than anything is sometimes a touch testing, and the camera/controls have also managed to hinder me in a few places.

Still, this is proving to be a fantastic game, and I'm looking forwards to seeing how it all comes together at the end.
