    Synopsis
Super Princess Peach is making a change. In this side-scrolling adventure game, your mission is to save Mario, Luigi and Toad, who have been kidnapped by Bowser. Similar to Yoshi's Island, you select your level via a world map and control Princess Peach to work her way through a number of stages, using her multiple emotion-based powers (joy, happiness, anger, and sadness). Accompanied by Peach's magical umbrella (called "Kassaa"), the Princess can perform a number of actions, such as striking enemies.

    Been playing this today.

WOW its soo good, it feels just like a mario game but without mario (^_^). The presentation is amazing & the animation is great, it feels a bit like yoshi's island with the graphical style.

Hehe listening to her when you activate the emotion hearts makes me laugh, especially when you use the happy heart. She makes this wheeeeeeeee noise that cracks me up every time.

The game is packed with secrets to find & theres tons of stuff to do. Yet another must have ds game.

Nice impressions mate, should be with me at the end of this week!

How is the difficulty? I've read a few impressions at gamefaqs that suggests it is a bit of a pushover. Are we looking at a game that could possibly be the new Mario World/Yoshi's Island?

Well im still on the first world so its easy as it teaching me how to use everything but it feels as good as when i first played super mario world.

It feels like a solid well made game & not some cheaply rushed out affair.

Quite a bit of japanese text in menus but everything seems simple enough to work out.

Mostly kana too so its easy to read.

Gotten to the first boss, hehe he sure was fun. Its the giant pirhanna plant from mario sunshine.

Theres some seedlings either side of him, you have to cry on them to make them grow. You now are high enough to stand over him, then when he opens his mouth you have to cry in it to fill him full of water. Just like mario sunshine you then have to jump on his belly button to hurt him (^_^)

I have discovered peaches umbrella can be upgraded with new moves, you buy the extra moves from toads shop on the map screen, so far i have bought the drill move where you can break blocks beneath you & the extra floaty jump move.

Oh & dont let those pics in the first post of the thread make you think thats what the graphics are like, they are very old shots & dont look like that in the finished game.

I keep finding jigsaw puzzle pieces in the levels, im guessing they have somthing to do with the game room you can access via the menu in the map screen, theres also a encyclopedia of every enemy that you can fill each time you meet a new enemy & theres a sound test. You get the sounds by finding the hidden giant note blocks in the main game.

Oh theres 3 toads to find in each level as well, no idea what hapens when you get them all.

Lots to see & do (^_^)

Sounds like a possible problem getting round everything if you're not that confident with kana then. Oh dear... maybe I shouldn't get the review job on this then

(in other words, I will probably wait for the US version then)

This sounds great from what importaku's said! I'm in 2D loving mode at the moment with Castlevania, so it looks like there's another DS game to add to the list.

ukresistance.co.uk have also posted a (very) short piece about it

I'm expecting mine anytime soon, i'm slightly put off with the language thing as there seems like a lot to discover, *sigh* might put it in the trading and pray for a us/europe release, although! i might not be able to resist once it arrives!

Surely this is mainly platforming action isn't it? I'm not worried about the language barrier - just want my copy to turn up!

I can only agree with this - only played a couple of levels so far, but it's a treat - colourful, vibrant & most importantly, fun. It's amazing how easily you slip back into the Super Mario mind set, stomping on Koopas then sending the shells flying into rows of goombas & so on - it feels very natural.

I'm loving it - off to go & get stuck back in
