F*&k me, has anyone tried to fight the Night Terror??? That thing is ridiculously hard! I'm guessing it was a prototype end of game boss or something, but it's so effing cheap! Every hit crumples you, if he knocks you to the ground he can 'floor juggle' you up and out of the ring from any position, if you happen to land a few hits he'll fly up and remove all your health in one go with his beams to teach you for being cheeky.. knock him out of the ring and he flies back in. AARGH! I did manage to beat him eventually using Astaroth but it was pure luck.

Note - that was only the NORMAL difficulty version that I beat.. hard version? no thanks!

Not yet, I think you have to be pretty tasty to even get to him right? Like taking a certain path in Tale of Souls and not losing a match/using a continue?


On a different note, I have a quick question on Chronicles of the Sword. I'm only on Chronicle 3, but I keep running into named characters like Cervantes et al who are super tough (lvl 60) compared to my custom dudes (~lvl 10). Am I meant to be able to defeat them? I just basically avoid them and take the stronghold instead. Am I doing myself a disservice by doing so?

It is possible to beat these lvl 60 characters with your own characters at a low level. Either use just your highest level character and play defensively or use the entire party of four, also fighting defensively. It can be done, you will gain about 4 levels when you beat them. I am unsure if there are any consequences of fighting them or not. Of course you could also just avoid them. However I suggest you rise to the challenge. Hope that helps!

Not sure, I was just working through the mission battles and discovered this one at the end (normal difficulty only, no easy mode version). I'm no expert so I'd be surprised if it takes anything difficult to unlock the fight.

Does the PAL version definitely not support progressive scan?
Also, does the game have a proper widescreen mode?

No prog scan. Although there is an option to adjust the sharpness in the Display menu.

The widescreen mode is perfect - I wasn't sure it would be after Tekken 5, but it's excellent.
