I finally got to go online today & it was great.

I saw how cool the towns can look when its been played a while. Sadly i didnt have enough cash to get my hair done at nookingtons.

I fancy a new style (^_^)

this landed on my doorstep this morning and im pretty impresed so far the curve of the level is nice though my village was a bit bland compared to my gamecube village no pond and no waterfall just a big river cutting the map in half with a few houses doted about im sure it will get busyer the more i play it.

I also though my village would be under snow, as its December? are the seasonal things not in this version? would be a shame if the village looked the same all year round as that was part fo the games charm.

controlls seemed fine too everything seem to be in the right place and its easy to move about, not been online yet but will let you know when i get chance

overall though it seems like a pretty fun little game

I've been playing since Thursday, and so far it's been nice weather every day. The noticeboard in my village reckons that it'll be snowing tomorrow, though.

Just growing fruit at the moment, i found a coconut washed up on my beach & i planted it. It looks like for the first time you can grow coconuts as long as you plant then on the beach.

Wow. The snow looks great today. I found a tiny snowball and rolled it to my house. By the time I got there the ball was as big as me. I can't wait for my girlfriend to play and see that.

If you find a second snowball & make it slightly smaller than the first then push them together. tadaa instant snowman. A little face pop up on him but sadly you dont get any furniture like the gc versions.

Reading this thread, I get the impression there's a lot missing from this game compared to the GC version....

Like multiple player houses, errands to run for villagers, 'real' holidays and so on...

So does it feel like a trimmed-down version of the GC game? Or do the new additions make up for the missing stuff?

The stuff they have taken out is more than made up for with the new stuff they have added. Im glad that it isnt just a carbon copy ofthe gc versions, the new stuff makes it refreshing.

The joy of been able to visit other peoples towns is fantastic, i always love to see what the layout of other peoples towns is like.
