I've been playing this since I got it on tuesday from VG+ and I'm really enjoying it. I never played it on Gamecube but thought I might give this one a try, and so far it seems like a great idea. I'll be getting my second house upgrade tomorrow and Nook will get his second shop upgrade too, can't wait! I'm just wondering what to do when his shop is closed tomorrow. Since I can't sell him stuff I guess I'll just go fishing ... any other ideas?

I won't be able to go online until I get myself a WiFi router, which won't happen until some time next week I hope. I'll post my friend code in that other thread then, hope someone will let me come visit, or visit me.

I'm just wondering ... Does the animals in your town have a nickname for you? If so, what is it? Mine's E-Star ... Could be worse, I guess. Also ... does anyone have that weird-looking cat in their town? Blanca, was it? I had to draw her a new face with the stylus ... it went pretty well if I might say so myself. Hahah, I love this game! Ooh, last question ... has anyone seen Dr. Shrunk in their town yet? He taught me how to express emotions, particularily how to express shyness. I hope he returns to teach me more (seeing as there's room for other expressions).'

Edit: Just read that Blanca appears on a random day after WiFi play (I tried it a my girlfriend once, tried to visit Importaku's town, but I guess you have to have each other on your friend rooster?, I'll figure it out when I get my WiFi router ).

i've been using your super famicom logo on my umbrella too.
are the designs in the shop all really by real people?...all the ones i've seen so far have been boring (present company excepted)

I think the designs are by villagers that you orignally get, but in each town i now visit i stop by able sisters & pimp my logo (^_^)

Has anyone had a visit from Mr. Resetti yet? This might be old news for some of you here, but I turned on my DS now and realised it was running low on battery, so I turned it off (without saving) and got my charger. When I got back I had a visit from this Mr. Resetti guy ... actually he was a mole, and he gave me a bit of a lecture, and now I feel a bit guilty. Just a bit though, as it was pretty funny too ... I'm not going to spoil anything though, you should just try it if you want.

I had that crazy red guy in my village this morning and i noticed he was selling a painting so i thought great not got any of them yet it was really over priced but i thought well its for the museam so i got it took it over to the owl and he said sorry but this painting is a fake i pissed myself laughing as id just spent 8000 bells on it, never been ripped off by a video game icharicter before lol.

I tried to flog it to tom nook he offred me 10 bells for it so i went to throw it in the recycle bin and found loads of stuff in there dident realise it worked like the dump w00t free stuff and again dam you crazy red

Crazy Red, in the Cube version at least, was sometimes the only way (outside of getting it from someone else who had it in their catalog) to obtain certain rare items. Expensive but worth it. Looks like there could be inherent risk now doing it

I haven't met Crazy Red yet. Anyone know what the 'download' option is? It asks if I mind having a mysterious cat visit my town and then if I mind notices being posted. So far no cat has visited and no extra notices have been posted. Any ideas?

It uses the wifi so that the cat can visit you, you have to draw him a face, he will allready have a face that other people have designed to so its quite funny, havent seen him with a cock drawn on his face yet so i dont know if hes checked by Nintendo

Do you have to have your gate open for this to work. I haven't looked at the WiFi yet but the Policedog wouldn't let me do anything until I had friend codes set up. Can you get the cat another way?

I would imagine it dl's info for the cat and the mesage bottles when you connect to the wifi and then introduces them randomley to make the game seem more open, ive also noticed animals wearing clothes designed by other people in villages ive never heard of.

Yeah i need to have your friend code to allow you to get into my town otherwise you get the red triangle on your friends list. Theres a few on my list so far that have the red triangle, i havent connected to so im guessing they havent added me to their friends list even though i have added them to mine.

just opened my gate, i'm going to leave it for a few hours now and watch serenity on DVD.
so if anybody wants to come steal some apples feel free.

thanks to whoever left cherries, i got a few and left the others, which somebody else picked up.
came back to find myself in a totally different place, and then later surrounded by holes thanks to some mischeivous visitors.

surprising how much fun just running around netting each other is though...makes such a nice change from competetive games all the time,
good stuff all round.

i thought it was you, but i'm terrible for remembering names, espesially when people have different ones for here/xboxlive/DS stuff...its so confusing.

my nooks is closed tommorrow, so i will try to visit other people, and i finally paid off my mortgage, so my house should be refurbished soon too.
