The Special edition has everything the original release and more plus it is only ?11.99 from Play or ?14.99 from Game, total bargain and if you aint played it before possibly one of the best purchases you will make this year!!Originally posted by Bydo

Is anyone else REALLY ****ed off that they removed the 20% faster play option for the PAL release?
Bugs the hell out of me that we wait longer, and get a cut down game. Something about "PAL tv's not being able to handle it"

I noticed that turbo mode was missing once I started playing through the game, but I assumed that they simply removed the option of "enabling" that mode, and simply incorporated it into the game. In other words, I thought everything automatically ran 20% faster.
Got the game last saturday after having played both the original DMC3 and its american special edition, and I'm still loving it! The boxart is much better in the PAL release, I couldn't stand the Greatest Hits logo on the american one.
Anyone notice any slowdown at times though? I've seen it a couple times, particularly when I was dishing out some badass combos on several enemies at once.
Anyway, I'm not too bothered about turbo mode, whatever the case is, the game plays like it should. Beaten it with once with Dante and once with Vergil. Will play as Dante today again.

the pal version seems kind of cheap. they give you everything you unlock in the us version from the start. when i wanted to play special edition, i want to feel like i accomplished something when i played through the game. removing the turbo mode is kind of a pooper aswell, i knew i should have imported the us version.

This is my first proper stab at a Devil May Cry game, and I have to say it's fantastic! I got given the first one a couple of months ago, but never really found the time to play it. I love the different styles of combat and the massivew juggling combos that are possibile. Only had a go with Dante so far, but have to say it's the best ?12 I have spent in a long while.Comment

Chances are you've got a DMC3 save already, as that means you unlock Vergil and bloody palace from the start. But there's more to come.
