Indeed. It feels like I am playing me. Well, me as a Wood Elf with really cool Illusion spells and a cool enchated bow, of course.

lol i have had this game for ages i have put many hours in and i still have not completed it

i put about 7 hours in then i quit to start again so i had the skills that i did use alot as major ones

i didnt like the fact they did not set the place on a island or something it annoyed me a bit when i came across those invisible barriers

also why they thought it would be a good idea to have the now loading thing pop up when your exploring

also i have to say IF this was not released on the pc then the x360 would have had a far far bigger impact on me

The game world is so vast and so lush that the occasional 'Loading' screen while roaming around is to be expected and should surely be forgiven.

As for the invisible barriers, that initially bothered me too, but now feel it's preferable to placing the the game on an island or an area surrounded by sheer mountains as that would lead to a feeling of isolation and ultimately detract from the feel and vibe of the game.

Grr in the process of doing the Dark Brotherhood quest, I've developed Vampirism, and am having to go through the process of getting rid of it, avoiding the light =/

I quite enjoyed being a vampire so remained as one for much of the game but eventually, at the height of the disease, it becomes a genuine pain as contact with sunlight strips you of health at an alarming rate.

The 'Cure Vampirism' quest is long and arduous but, ultimately, one of the more rewarding side-quests in the game. The other option, of course, is to download 'The Vile Lair' addon as it includes a shrine where players can cleanse themselves of vampirism.

Wasn't it taken out in the first major patch any how ?

The patch (for the 360 version) didn't scrub the loading message altogether but had a big impact on their frequency.

So whats the deal with this new PS3 coding that improves the distant textures that we're supposed to be getting on the 360 too.

Is it coming with Shivering Isles or a seperate addon later?

Meant to be a separate patch just before.

I'm doing the Cure Vampirism quest right now... tedius, and wiping out all my money.

I'm not sure if it was patched in the end, but I had all the ingredients but the barmy old mare kept attacking me. I might go back to it if it's been fixed.

Grr I've got all her Grand Soul Gems, but she keeps attacking me when I take them to her.

Sorted, you have to yeld to her... put your weapon away, hold L trigger and keep trying to talk to her and she stops attacking.

Bleeders - this might work for you too mate.

That quest was really pissing me off as well, at one point I went back to her house with all the stuff and she wasn't there - assuming it was some kind of bug I reloaded at a point near the start of the quest. It wasn't until much later that I discovered the cow had a secret trapdoor hidden in her fireplace that she was holed up in -_-

looks like the auto update for oblivion on the 360 for the lod transitions is ready, dowloading it at the moment.
