Can't believe folks are moaning about the system, without even figering out the stealth eye thingy.

I bloody hope there is a spell that does the locks for you at some point in the game.
It's possible to do every type of lock with only a single pick even if your security skill isn't all that.

I started the game with 30, haven't bought a single one and i'm now on 80.

The trick, is not to lock it in place if the tumbler just shoots straight up, otherwise you're likely to fail. You need to wait until it's been very gently pushed up into place before you lock it.

Did not realise that the pins went up at different rates. Just thought they varried with different lock difficulties. Have to have a closer look !

I'm rubbish at it, I'll have to put these new techniques into practice when I get home.

              Locking picking that is.

Just be patient and don't lock it in place if it hits the top hard.

Also note that how far you push the stick up doesn't matter, so you just have to keep tapping it up and wait for the gentle push up before locking that tumbler in place.

Hope that works as well for you lot as it has done for me.

                  Thanks for the tip Silver.

Will put this into practice later on.

this is what happens when you create a game that allows you to do pretty much anything.....

the kid crying in the background, is it saying: why did God give me you as a dad, or is it: I want a piece of the action too.....

                    Worrying.

I don't understand this at all. Can you elaborate?
                          Kept you waiting, huh?

                            Need.

                            To.

                            Stop.

                            Thinking.

                            About.

                            Game.

                              I can try.

When you push one of the parts of the lock up, it either sort of 'slams' against the top part then immediately falls back down, or gently taps against the top, stays there for a little then slowly falls down.

When it slams against the top, you usually just hear one click. When it gently taps against the top, you hear two clicks.

That's when you need to lock it.
