Oh **** - I only went and bought it 'innit.

5/6 hours were absorbed yesterday before I fought to turn it off and play some COD2 for light relief.

In that time I managed to do quite a lot of stuff including clsoing one of the gates of Oblivion - Aye I'm that hard

Utterly superb - Loving every minute and knowing how many of those minutes are left makes me very happy.

The only problem now is where do all the other games fit in ???

This is it isn't it, I broke from the game for about half hour yesterday for Ghost Recon action, only to pop back in Oblivion moments later.

I never usually play these type of games and it's not for the want of trying either. It's probably because I can never get 'into' it as such, but this is different. I don't know why though, but I love this game. I like the freedom to wander round slaughtering patrons or even doing one of the enjoyable side-quests. In fact, I've yet to really touch on the main quest since I much prefer to do the Dark Brotherhood tasks at the moment.

Granted I've only really sunk in about 8 hours into this over the course of the weekend, but I know where I'd rather be about now.

I found all mine on the bank opposite the Imperial City.

My exact same problem, if I do manage to bring myself to put another game in I end up back on Oblivion within the hour.

Dont have a clue what to do!
              You have to wait until

the guild leader is out of the way - the person with the key doesn't trust him or like him, and will not talk about the quest until he is out of the way. No, I don't mean you have to kill him!

You can do some funny **** with the item you find down there

The great thing about the bounty is that I just end up looting and pockpicketing chests and people for valubles, forcibly get myself caught, serve the time and then head back into the prison, sneak around the Watchman (if here's there), and then retake my items back (it doesn't count as 'stealing').

Now, maybe that highlights a flaw in the system but it sure as hell eases the frustration (in losing everything) because a large part of my wealth is from stolen goods. I suppose it also helps that the guards seem to 'forget' the older items you stole over time.

Has anyone found a town merchant willing to buy stolen goods yet? I'd have about 15,000 gold from all dungeon exploring/looting by now.

^^ you need to be in the thieves guild and then your fence will buy your stolen loot

                    Cheers.

I've been invited to both, but I haven't done any thieves guild or dark brotherhood missions yet (been too busy doing other things/exploring/pickpocketing people/chests/houses).

After 36 hours, I've only completed 13 quests at level seven.

Can you join the Warriors Guild even if you've committed various crimes in the Oblivion world?

Says they only want "pure" patrons joining them or something...

Am gonna walk the good path to start, but one day I will return from a quest a different man, tainted by the horrors I have witnessed and wreak havoc on the world for the rest of time, hehehe, it all starts for me on Wednesday... CANT WAIT !!

Just played a bit of this yesterday evening and was wandering around Imperial City doing a mission where I had to follow a guy coming out of his shop. Had to hang around outside for ages and I wondered if there was a way to find out when you had to turn up, rather than wait around from 5pm onwards. Looks a pretty good game though.
