Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I've got tonnes of it!

I got it on a ship fighting ghosts, in the Imperial City. Was a fun fight to say the least!!




Anywayyy, this game rocks! I'm so addicted. 13 hours in. Just joined the theives guild proper, needed to gain 50 gold worth before joining so I done that by going to some weapon shop and the guy was being a right arse so I thought, he's getting paid back for his cheek, so I waited til dark, he walked out, followed him down a street and mugged him for his shop key!

Went to the shop, stole everything I could possibly hold, which amounted to about 200 in gold of weapons, about 20 scrolls of potions and spells etc and alot of arrows which I was running low on too!!

Great fun!

One problem though, I cant for the love of god find any lockpicks, the theives guild guy gave them to me a few times at the start but it wont let me buy anymore off him!!?

Any ideas?

Is anyone doing the Dark Brotherhood quests. I am stuck on the first quest that Octacheva (spelling) give you

Where you have to find the elf Faelin and kill him, I can't find him and no one is willing to tell me where he is

I have fully completed the arena quests now though and gained an adoring fan :P

Bugger I forgot about that difficulty slider......

I'm gonna whack it down a notch, or 2,or 3, or 6..

Same here, and consequently, my experience has been bettered ten-fold.

Bit a green at these sort of RPG's so I found it quite tough going at first, not to mention overwhelming.

However, dropped the difficulty down a few notches and I'm really, really enjoying this... I mean, it's kept me off of Ghost Recon for the better part of the day.

Determined to become Grand Champion in The Arena, not to mention aspirations of becoming a member of Dark Brotherhood. I haven't actually bothered delivering the Amulet yet.

Had quite an evening with this.

Started off by heading to a hill nearby to chorrel, as I'd promised myself a climb. Made it most of the way up, and then hit an invisible wall which was a bit disappointing, but the view was still pretty spectacular from the vantage point I got to. Started to make my way back down, only to find two guys attacking a black horse, half way up the hill, killed the two of them for animal cruelty , and earned myself a horse.

I found an abandoned fort. Should of taken the two crucified guys on either side of the entrance as a warning not to go in, but I went in anyhow. Immediately found the body of a traveller inside, and on opening an inner door was immediately attacked by a vampire monk killed him and proceeded in, killed a few skelles, and then noticed a running theme through the dungeon, lots of coffins everywhere ! The thing seemed to be some sort of vampire's lair. Managed to take out the vampires that appeared, but it was a hell of an atmospheric dungeon ending with

a coffin resting on a plinth protected by another vampire, killed the vampire and then nervously opened the coffin, fully expecting the head vampire to leap out and massacre me, but instead finding a pear of velour trousers.

Seems the vampires are quite the dandy boys.

Next made my way to a small town full of nasty people, with a

The folks there did not make me to welcome, so I followed marty and killed them all 8)

Only again to find another dungeon. This one was massive, and full of bandits which needed to be cleared out. Managed to find some interesting stones in there, and an item which has given me half the money for my own horse Which I need as after dismounting at a shrine to get some enchantments, some BITCH came along and hacked my horse to death, and therefore Black beauty is no more The killer BURNED by the way !

Leveled up again in the dungeon so I'm at level three now, but I do seem to be quite a hard bastard already. Not really coming across any that can do me allot of damage, and my proficiency at stealth kills is going up - which basically amount to instant distant kills. Playing with the difficulty bar half way, after starting with it at full by mistake, but may notch it up a couple, as the fights do seem a little easy atm.

After the dungeon I had a bottle of ale, and sat down in the rain at some dead travellers camp, and saved.

Fantastic game - so much to do so much to see. 8 hours in and still feel like I'm just starting, after 8 hours with all other 360 games I was just getting to the end !!

I'm 12 hours in, and completely sucked in...

Level 9 or so, 3 skills at 50+ (Alchemy, Sneak and Illusion). Illusion isn't a majot skill, but I'm loving the night vision spells.

I've spent most of my time just walking around the Imperial City. Only done one little quest and a few dungeons. I feel tooled up though, and my Wood Elf sneaky marksman can look after himself.

I've killed so many people in the Imperial City it's pretty much rendered useless now, just bodys lying naked in the street.. :P

Omg, only just started but OMG. I'm totally agreeing with the Shenmue analogy. I feel just so much part of the "world". Damn, i should have bought the PC version, someone might make a Shenmue mod for this!

I just spent 5 minutes watching my brother playing and it seems a bit like Ultima Underworld 2. And the ratio is all wrong - looks like 4:3 stretched out to widescreen.

Maybe I need to watch some more.

You're looking for ghosts? I wandered into a castle cellar and found about 20 of them who all chased me around, I then noticed my arrows passed straight thru them, crapped my leather chainmail pants and ran out.

I've gone into every dungeon/cellar I can find and all I see are flying impy things...

Go to the Imperial City, look for two boats in the water by the harbour bit and walk onto one of them that has a woman standing outside, she'll tell you to go in and collect some **** for her and you'll meet plenty of them!

Job done.

I'm loving this more and more now. At 9pm I thought, I better go make dinner, next thing I notice, its half 10 and I'm still playing!!!!

So good, I'm now hunting a vampire!!!!

Oh yeah, I spent over 200 days in jail after being caught with a 20,000 bounty on my head. I think I've learnt my lesson mugging, stealing and murdering now... maybe. :P
