Bah I was hoping I was just having an off day, seems other people are finding it dissapointing too. Just fired it up again, yep still a bit rubbishy.

Not at all, the aiming is not perfect but the setting, enjoyable weapons, ok AI and stunning map maker make this a really good game!
Granted this is no Halo, GoldenEye or Half Life 2. But it's great fun, good looking and the map maker makes it for me, a simply brillant game. It's the most versitile and easy to use console map maker ever made.

Ok AI? Are you playing a different game :P the AI sucks beyond belief. The map editor is pretty good to be fair, although the amount of time you spend making it is only comparable to the amount of time you spend downloading the bastard for online games when you join a room. Only to find out you've got some Yank kids piece of **** creation which is basically a big puddle and a tower in the middle.
I can't believe the aiming though, they've pissed it right upFortunately the AI is so crap you can get point blank to them and just pop em in the face

Can someone please expand on what is broken in the aiming?
I really enjoyed FCI on Xbox mainly for the multiplayer and map editor. I had no issues hosting 10-12 player games as I have an ADSL2+ connection so really as I am not interested in the singleplayer as long as the aiming is as its was on Xbox its fine by me.
So when you say its broke, whats broke? Is it possibly because the 360 controllers have a slightly looser feel to the controller S and thats causing it or is it actually implemented wrong in the game?
Cheers, even if I do buy it I'll pick up the region free Asian version cheap.

i take it all back! turn off the aim-assist which is set default to on (grr) in the options and it doesn't force chest shots, making head capping so much easier. also the evolution story is really, really good, and incredbily open just like PC Far Cry
enter the cheat code GiveMeItAll to unlock it from the start, if you don't want to play through Instincts again.
